Elephant Birthday

It's mid-month inspiration time for the CAS Watercolour Challenge and I pulled out one of my favourite Wplus9 stamp sets to create a cute little scene.

These elephants make me happy! I coloured them with Zig Markers and an Aquabrush and die-cut with the co-ordinating dies. The frame die is from Kaisercraft.

Embossed Poppies

Just popping in with another card. This one is inspired by the Flower Challenge.

This is a background stamp, which I stamped with Versamark and embossed with Pewter embossing powder. I coloured the Poppies and die-cut sentiment with Zig Markers.

Rose Flurries

How wonderful to see you! Today I had lots of fun playing with my new die set from Altenew 'Rose Flurries'.

I made the background with a grid stencil and Distress Stain Brushed Pewter, which I put in a mini mister.  The die cuts are coloured with Copic Markers and the card is Canson Acrylic card-stock.

Mixed Media Stencil

Hi. I'm back again to share a couple of cards I made for this month's CAS Mix UP, CAS Stencil and CAS Christmas Challenges.

My first card combines two of the challenges themes.

I painted a piece of white card with gesso and when dry I added a layer with gelatos. Next I used a baby wipe to remove some of the colour, to show the white underneath. I then used a set of 4 stencils to add the Water Lily. I began with white, then added the colour and added black and silver detail.

My second card is very CAS and uses a cute stamp from MFT Happy Pawlidays.

I coloured the image with Copic Markers using non traditional colours and paired it with a Distress Oxide background from my stash.

Hi there. Just popping in to share a card using a NBUS stamp set from Clearly Besotted.

I stamped the images with distress inks,  coloured with Derwent Inktense Pencils and added a bit of shimmer with Wink of Stellar.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge (May 2019)

Hello there. It's time for a new Penny Black Saturday Challenge and the theme is *ANYTHING GOES* or *MAKE YOUR OWN BACKGROUND*.

I've been busy finalising plans for the second phase of our renovation, so I haven't been crafting for a few weeks and lost my MOJO, but I sat down today and challenged myself to create without too much thought:)

I decided to go monochrome, but moved away from my usual blues and greens. I sponged some distress inks on white card-stock and spritzed. Then I sponged Fossilised Amber D.I. and Gold Glitz through the PB stencil. Next I stamped the butterfly and coloured with the same distress inks and blended with clear Wink of Stellar.  I fussy cut the butterfly. To finish I stamped the sentiment and mounted the panel on a black card base.

Unicorns and Rainbows

Hello there. Yes a new month has begun and that means it's time for a news CAS Watercolour Challenge. Our host this month is Karen Dunbrook and she's come up with a really fun theme. Make a Watercolour Card for a Child.

I don't make many cards for  children these days, because my 'kids' are now adults and still single, but my Great- Niece will be turning 1 this year, so I was pleased to find this cute Stamping Bella Unicorn in my stash from last years Craft Retreat. 

 I coloured the Unicorn with Zig Markers and then made a wash on the . background panel, dropping in co-ordinating colours. Next I added the Penny Black sentiment, die-cut the panel and mounted on a kraft card base. To finish, I added a bit of bling for some added magic:)
