PDCC 108 Colour Challenge
When I first looked at these colours, I thought, not my style - I'm not an earthy sort of girl. But Hey, that's why it's called a challenge!!! The colours remind me of Morocco or Christmas in a cold climate ( it must be the cinnamon). When I started looking at all my paper stash I found lots of gorgeous possibilities and it became hard to decide which ones to use. Here is my first attempt:-
Stamps: Judikins damask
Paper: Graphic 45
Botanica bella/ Kaisercraft
Ink: Ranger
embossing/wild honey/dried marigold/black soot
Accessories: brads/ranger
black enamel/embossing powder
Well I think I'm becoming addicted to the Playdate Cafe Challenge - once I make one card, I find I want to keep using the colour combo. I'm so glad I've started entering challenges and began this blog, because now I have my mojo back and find myself thinking about creating all the time and it's a lovely bonus to get nice comments from other crafters!

Playdate Cafe Colour Challenge
I made this for the Playdate Cafe Challenge #106.
I love this colour combo. I had too many ideas and found it hard to settle on one. The stamp is from Blance stamps, The paper is Echo Park and My Mind's Eye. The ribbon is Su, pearls are from Kaisercraft (coloured with copic) The button and key are random from local craft store. I used contrasting pink and yellow stiching on the paper to try to tie it all together.

Wee Memories WMC74 Challenge & Simons Says Stamps Challenge
Today is like the first day of summer - over 30c and a bit too warm for being creative... it didn't quite turn out how I imagined, but I needed to finish it for the Wee memories challenge. So no time for procrastination ( which is my middle name)! It's definitely not my usual style - I usually go fo the 'less is more' - but I've found myself creating outside of my comfort zone since I started entering challenges.
I have used Cosmo Cricket Matrial Girl paper, doilly vintage lace and bias binding, wooden buttons, brad and co-ordination card stock.
Now I really should sit down a make bulk xmas cards and gift card tags for the gift shop in our shopping centre. I'm terrible at making more than one of something - I get bored and want to move on to the next thing.

One of Lochie's Creations & Another Card for the Clean & Simple FTL163 Challenge
I was most impressed with this creation, because art is Lochie's least favourite subject.
Pretty good for a non-arty 11 year old boy!
Now here is another card for the FTL163 sketch challenge from Clean & Simple
This is using Basic Grey and Kaisercraft paper and Pink Petticoat sentiment.

clean and simple FLT163 sketch challenge
I made this for the clean & Simple Challenge.
The embelishmets are from my local craft store. The card is Canson and I don't remember where the paper is from. The sentiment is from Pink Petticoat and I used a Kaisercraft background stamp on the card and them used perfect pearls for a bit of shimmer, that doesn't show in the photo. The gems are also Kaisercraft.
I machine stiched on the patterned paper and used distress ink.

Craft & Sewing Show Melbourne
I went to the Craft & Sewing Show yesterday. It was a bit disappointing, because I usually like to learn a knew technique or do make & takes so that it's not just a shopping expedition. I really wanted to do the Quilted Japanese Kimono Style Wallet by Patchwork Mariko Japan, but you couldn't pre-book and all the classes were full. So what can a girl do, I had to check out all the yummy new products and specials!
The good news is the lovely demonstrator at Mariko Japan told me he could come to my place to do a class if I got 5 or more people together. He would charge for the kit plus a little extra - sounds like a great idea. If anyone lives near Brighton, Melb and is interested, leave me a comment.

I have a blog !!!
I have started this blog so that I can enter papercraft (cardmaking) challenges on other blogs. It's not possible to enter some challenges without an URL address - so here I am!
It's a week for firsts - I entered my 1st challenge at Hero Arts last Week, and then my 2nd at Simon Says Stamps, which incredibly I won! I then entered the same card from the SSS challenge in the Sweet Pea Stamps challenge and got a prize from them too! Then yeserday I received a free 3 months subscription from Scrapbook Creations! So I am feeling very lucky! Yay!!!
