I decided to die cut my watercolour panel with a Papertrey tag die, because the only PTI sentiments I have are smallish. This sentiment is from the Hands of Time set. For my watercolour I used some Artist quality paints, which I love because of the vibrancy.

Case Study Challenge Take 2
A very quick post - it's school pick up time and nearly deadline for the challenge.
So this is my second card for the current Case Study challenge ...
In this card I was influenced by the colours and the use of vellum. The stamp is from Kaisercraft and the dies are from Penny Black. I've used various inks and Pan Pastels for the colours.
ETA: I am also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - Pearls - I have used pearls and pearlised paper.

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop - 1st ever
There's always so many fun and informative things happening at Papertrey Ink on Nichole's blog Capture the Moment, but I usually leave it too late and miss the deadline. This time I think I might scrape it in.
So this card is for their February Blog Hop ...
I have used the Hands of Time stamp Set - I sponged distress ink on to the stamp, spritzed with water and then stamped. I added lots of splatter, some sequins and the butterflies for a bit of bling. The side panel is washi tape.

Floral Card - 4 challenges!
Today is a very quick or should I say slow entry. My Internet isn't working because we've used up our allowance, so everything I do excruciatingly slow!
This card is for Card Concept challenge (Clean and Layering - I think!), Hero Arts birthday challenge (floral), the City crafter (Flowers & Lace) and the Scrapbook Boutique challenge. It seems everyone loves flowers this week!

Case Study Challenge #179
Wow I'm just loving the beautiful inspiration from the current Muse, Danielle Flanders, over at the Case Study challenge.
I've used a stencil, versamark and pink/gold pearl-ex powder to get the background pattern. I didn't use a sealer, so it got a bit scratched, but I decided I quite liked the distressed look. The splatter is made from paint and the sentiment is from Kaisercraft.
I'm also entering this in the Moxie Fab World Hexagon challenge.

Runway Inspired Challenge #54
Today I made a card for the Runway Inspired challenge. I was inspired by the black and white and wanted to make that the main feature of my card.
The stamp is from Kaisercraft, the strip of yellow is washi tape and the sentiment my favourite tape.

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - A Cameo Appearance
When I saw the theme for this weeks SSS Monday Challenge - I couldn't resist! I have so many possibilities going through my head, so I think you'll see me back with more entries!
I wish it wasn't so difficult to photograph gold, because one of my favourite products right now is gold pearl-ex powder (like perfect pearls). So you could say there are 2 cameos in this card - the cameo image and the appearance of gold Pearl-ex! The image stamps are all from Kaisercraft and the sentiment is from WPlus9.

Case Study Challenge take 2/ Muse Card Challenge
I decided to make a second card for the Case Study Challenge and combine it with this week's Muse Card challenge.
I have used Penny Black Lace Trims and Sentimental. The ink is Memento Luxe ink. I used a metallic card, so there's a bit of reflection in the photo unfortunately. |

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge
Another quick one, this time for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - Get Krafty.
This card was made using scraps I had sitting on my desk. I have been fascinated by the Freestyle Collage trend, which looks so random, but I suspect it's even more meticulously planned to make the design look random!

What do you think? Have I succeeded in creating a random 'freestyle collage'?
The stamped image is from Clearly Besotted 'Happy Everything' The sentiment is from Amy Tangerine and the die cut is from Tim Holtz.
Case Study Challenge #178
Here is a quick entry for the latest Case Study Challenge. I love all the entries I've seen for this week's challenge - so much talent!
I love the beautiful pattern created by Danielle in this card, but as I don't have any stamps suitable to recreate this, I decided to use the same colours and create an ombre background.
To create the flourishes I used a stencil, versamark ink and perfect pearls. The background was sponged with Memento Luxe inks. The sentiment is a Silhouette cut file and I used a Penny Black die for the dragonfly.

Fusion Card Challenge #4 - On a roll!
Hi there! I've made another card for the Fusion Card challenge! When I made yesterday's card , I couldn't decide which paper to use, because I love them both so much. So today I decided I would have to make another card. I guess that means I really am getting my Mojo back!
I can't remember the brand of this beautiful paper, but it has been in my stash for a while. It's funny how we buy paper, but find it difficult to make that first cut! The love die-cut is from Kaisercraft and the sentiment is from Amy Tangerine - I cut it up to change the order of the words.

Fusion Card Challenge
Today I decided to make another card for the Fusion Card Challenge using up some of my designer paper, which doesn't get used much any more due to the CAS trend.
I have based my card on both the picture and the sketch.
I have based my card on both the picture and the sketch.
The paper is part of the Graphic 45 Birdsong collection - I love it so much! I decided to use vellum for the middle section of the sketch and stamped the beautiful blossom from Clearly Besotted Happy Everything set, white embossing it to make it subtle. The sentiment is also from the same set.
I used Memory Box and Penny Black dies for the butterflies.

Hero Arts Birthday take 2
While I haven't been feeling like playing along in challenges, I have been experimenting with watercolours. I decided to paint directly on to a stamp with watercolour paint and stamp on to watercolour paper. This is the result...
I wanted to created an aged look, so I painted around the image with Antique linen and then stamped the sentiment with Walnut stain. The pink paint is Windsor & Newton Cotman Permanent rose 502 Series 1 A. Ha ha do I sound like I know what I'm talking about?! The green paint is an el cheapo from my kids stash. I added a touch of walnut stain to the centre of the flowers.
I know this is very amateur, but it is so much fun playing with watercolours and it's even more fun using them with stamps!
I'm entering this in the Hero Arts Birthday Challenge
(floral) and I will also enter this in the Moxie FabWorld Happy for Hexagon challenge.
Hero Arts Birthday/Fusion Card Challenge
Hi! It's just a quick post as I have lots of things on my to do list. I have been really struggling to regain my creativity since my Dad passed away - it sort of comes in waves. As for blogging, well it's difficult to be cheerful at the moment. So sorry if my posts are a bit flat and boring. I'm sure I'll snap out of it soon. I am off to a craft retreat at the end of March with some amazingly talented ladies, so that's definitely something to look forward to!
Today's card was inspired by the colours and butterflies in the Fusion Card challenge
and I used Hero Arts stamps so I could enter it in their Birthday challenge (rainbow).

I used watercolour papers and Twinkling H2os to create the background. The butterfly was stamped on clear acetate and I tinted the back a little bit with copic markers. The sentiment and butterfly stamp are from Hero Arts.

Case this Sketch 63
I'm slowly getting my mojo back and today I saw the sketch for the current Case this Sketch challenge and decided to combine some practise of with my new Silhouette Portrait using this sketch as a guideline.
It came together very quickly...
I fell in love with this flower (it's called floral filigree) when I saw it in the silhouette store.
I used the negative space to sponge the background with Pan Pastel and then used my favourite sentiment tape for the sentiment. The quickest card I've ever made.

Runway Inspired Challenge #53
I absolutely adore the colours and patterns in the inspiration photo for the latest Runway Inspired Challenge. I have lots of thank you cards to make and this challenge gave me a great kick start.
I had originally thought to include some of the lattice pattern in my card, but in the end, I wanted to keep it CAS.
I have used Memory Box Cherry Blossom and Caserta Bloom dies. I die cut the Caserta Bloom in black and white and then coloured the white flowers. I used Twinkling H2Os to colour the blooms as they always have so much vibrancy.
The sentiment is from Stampin Up - it was stamped in versamark and then brushed with gold Perfect Pearls.
I am also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Blog Work It Wednesday Challenge - this month is to use something new. Well it just so happens, I bought these dies a few days ago when I needed a bit of retail therapy to cheer me up.

Case Study Challenge Take 2
I was planning to make another card for the Case Study Challenge, this time using the gold embossing and vellum. However, I deviated again and used this stencilled panel that I made, before the previous card. When I put the gold embossed vellum tag over the image, it was too busy, so I decided to use this washi style sentiment tape.
I used the memento luxe ink on this card too, but didn't emboss it. The finish is almost like paint to touch. The background panel was made by sponging the ink over white card to co-ordinate.

Case Study Challenge #176 Week 3 with Donna Mikasa
I decided to join up to the stencil class, although it is finished, to kick start my creativity.
I have a stencil which reminds me of the shape on Donna's card, so I decided to create a stencilled card for the Case Study Challenge.
I do apologise for the terrible photo. It's very hot again and the curtains are all drawn so I went outside to a shady spot, since the sunlight is so brilliant! I used the stencil and sponged Memento Luxe ink on to the card and then I decided to clear emboss the images.
I may have to make a second card, using the vellum, sequins and gold embossing!
