Ciao! I am currently in Sicily, probably enjoying canola or othe local delights! Meanwhile, I scheduled this post to remind you about this month’s Penny Black Saturday Challenge.
The theme is ‘spooky colours’ or anything goes.
I stamped Penny Black ‘Restful’ and the bird from ‘Season’s Marvel’ and then sponged the background with distress inks (masking the moon). Next I removed the mask and coloured the moon. The sentimentis from Winnie & Walter as I don’t have any PB spooky stamps.
I hope you’ll pop iver to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge blog to get more inspiration and play along. There’s a chance of a prize and Guest Designer spot. Here is the link.

I used distress Inks directly on the background stamp and spritzed liberally before stamping. I repeated this process, using the stamp platform, until I was happy and added a bit of splatter. When it was dry, I stamped and gold embossed the skeleton leaf and the sentiment. I added the die cut butterflies, which were in my stash and mounted on a brown Kraft card base.

Sparkly Poinsettia
Hi there. Today I’m sharing a card for a few different challenges.
I
This amazing Poinsettia stamp is from Penny Black. I used various Zig Markers and distress inks to stamp and add highlights. Then I stamped again with Versamark and embossed with a clear glittery powder (hard to see in pic). I fussy cut and popped it with a bit of dimension on the card base. To finish I stamped the PB sentiment and a few sequins.

Metal Bird
Hi there. I had time to craft this afternoon, so I made a card for the CAS Mix Up challenge. The theme is to use metal and I tried the ‘Black Ice’ technique (there’s a video to watch on the blog.
I die cut the bird and blossoms from an aluminium sheet, with a Tim Holtz Sizzix die. In retrospect, I would not use such an intricate die with a metal sheet, as there were lots if tiny filings which could be dangerous ( especially for my dogs)! I then cut away part of the die cut to make it less busy. I then swiped some stazon ink over the die cut, dried and then swiped versamark and clear embossed. In the video, she stamped images over the metal sheet. I’ll try that next tim, butI do like the effect of adding the black highlights to the die cut. Next I swiped some Distress Oxide accross the card and dried with a heat gun. The sentiment is from Penny Black.
The challenge was trying to get a good photo, but I hope you can see it properly.
I love Paris in the Rain
Bonjour! I'm a big fan of Regina Spektor and one of my favourite songs is 'Don't Leave Me (ne me quitte pas). Some of the lyrics are 'I love Paris in the Rain' Why am I talking about this? Well it just so happens I received a new Penny Black stamp and I'm going to Paris this month! Yay! I love Paris anytime, but I hope it doesn't rain too much though!
So here is my card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge. The theme this month is Anything Goes or 'Spooky Colour Combo' (choose at least 2 colours from Black, Orange, Purple and Green).
Mine isn't spooky, but I've used green & black.

I used Zig markers and distress ink on the stamp, spritzed and stamped repeatedly, until happy. I added the trees by hand. The stamp is Penny Black 'In Paris'.

I coloured the tree stamp with Distress Markers and Zig markers and spritzed and stamped. I kept repeating, using my stamp platform and sometimes using a brush instead of spritzing, until I was happy. I used a wet brush and the markers to add more detail directly to the paper. The little squirrel is from Papertrey Ink. I added the grass by freehand.

Monochrome Christmas
Here is a card I've been meaning to post, but keep forgetting to do so.
I stamped the Christmas Tree repeatedly using Distress Inks and Zig Markers. Then I stamped a background script stamp for some subtle detail and sponged the edges. Then I spritzed the whole panel with water and splashed some white Color Shine. I was going for a snow storm effect:)
When dry, I stamp and white embossed the sentiment from STAMPlorations.
The tree stamp is from Memory Box.
I'm sharing my card at the following challenges:-
Majestic Mountains
Hi there. I received some new Penny Black stamps last week week and couldn’t wait to play. These mountain stamps remind me of a Japanese painting.
I loved the stamps set so much that I couldn't stop at one card. I used a combination of Zig Markers and Distress Inks to colour and stamp the images . The mountains and geese and large tree are from Penny Black 'Season's Marvel' and the smaller trees are from PB 'Prancers'.The deer die is from Impression Obsession.
