I coloured the tree stamp with Distress Markers and Zig markers and spritzed and stamped. I kept repeating, using my stamp platform and sometimes using a brush instead of spritzing, until I was happy. I used a wet brush and the markers to add more detail directly to the paper. The little squirrel is from Papertrey Ink. I added the grass by freehand.
We are delighted to have Brenda as our Guest Designer this month, so why don't you pop on over to the CAS Watercolour Blog to see her card and other inspiration from the rest of the Design Team.
Thanks for visiting! I can't wait to see what you create:)
Love this tree. That little squirrel adds a lot to the total picture.

Your tree is absolutely STUNNING Jenny...I can just feel the sunlight pouring through the colored leaves the way you water colored it! And I love the whimsy of the squirrel beneath the tree too! We have several squirrels that visit our backyard because of the bird seed, and our dogs just go nuts...I think it's their main goal in life to catch one...bahahahaha!! But anyway, lovely, lovely card!! :0)
ReplyDeleteLove the look of your tree...great watercolour feel to it and your colour blends are great.
ReplyDeleteWell done.
x Karen
