Moxie Fab World - Square Punch Challenge

I have been laid up at home for the last few days because I have tendonitis in my foot, so I have had
lots of opportunity to play along with a few challenges  and even more time to spend on Pinterest, which is quite an addiction!

This card is for the Moxie Fab World square punch challenge.

I have used various embossing folders for the white background and
memory box die for the big butterfly and punches for the squares and small butterfly.
The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Three in one!

I am thinking of everyone in the path of Hurricane Sandy and hope you all stay safe and that it doesn't cause too much devastation.

I have based this card on the sketch from this week's challenge at (Cas)e this Sketch,
I have used kraft card stock so I can enter it in the CAS-ual Friday challenge and
lastly I've used canvas so I can enter the MFW Burlap, cork and canvas challenge.

I've used memory box dies for the bird and branch,
and Prima canvas, inked with distress inks.
The woodgrain stamps and gems are from Kaisercraft.

Another Case of Julia!

This is Julia's card we had to case.

Here is my second card for this weeks Case Study Challenge and since I have used canvas embellies I will also enter this in the Moxie Fab World - Canvas, cork and burlap challenge.

This is my interpretation. The green paper is from Pink Paislee, The canvas foliage and charm are from Prima. I used my new distress markers to colour the canvas (nb: please notice the excitement about said markers!). I die cut the craft scallop and stamped a background pattern with white ink. The pearls were coloured with copics. The sentiment is from a Kikki K set.

MFW - Another Alphabet sticker challenge card!

I think I'm becoming addicted to this challenge! It it giving me lots of opportunity to use up some
stickers that have been lurking in my stash for a long time. Check out the challenge here.

Case Study Challenge - Julia's last week

Well it's been very inspiring having Julia Stainton as the muse at the Case Study Challenge. This is her last week, so I had to play along.

This is Julia's card

I've chosen to case the sketch and the use of corrugated card.
I've used old christmas paper from my stash - I've embossed it
with a cuttlebug folder for more texture and depth.
The snowflakes are from Scrapmatts and are  painted with Ranger dabber snow cap.
The sentiment and gems are from Kaisercraft.
I've swiped the corrugated card with pink paint to soften the look.

Moxie Fab - 'Alpha stickers' revisited

I found these cute stickers at a local discount store and thought
it would be cute to use the whole alphabet, the only problem was that
some letters were missing! I thought I must be  mistaken so I looked
again and then checked out the second pack - no, definitely no
M through to  O
So I had to improvise with a capital I for 'L',  an upside down
'w' for 'm' an upside down u for 'n' and a zero for 'O'.
I used the lighter colour for all the letters except
'Hi' so they would blend in with the background and the word 'Hi'
would stand out.  I a;so used glossy accents on the 'Hi'.
The flower was die cut with Tim Holtz tattered flowers, the button is from
MM and the paper is from simple stories paper pad.
Check out the alpha sticker challenge here.

Moxie Fab World - Alphabet Stickers

Here is a quick card I put together for the MFW Alphabet Sticker challenge.

This is my 1st attempt at this card - I thought it might be fun to use acetate
for a different look, but next time I'll do it on card stock.

So the acetate sheet is from Hambly and the alphabet letters
are from American Crafts Amy Tangerine collection.
I love these letters and will have to get some more.
The star was originally pink, so I used gold ink, flex glue and glitter.
I got the idea for this card from a chipboard piece from Scrap Fx I think.
