Hello there. I happened upon the CASual Friday challenge today - I haven't played there for a long time, so I decided to make a very quick card.

Hedgehugs for everbody!
I've just returned from my niece's wedding in Flinders , which is on the coast in Victoria, Australia and I can truly say it was the most beautiful wedding I've ever attended. Everything was just perfect, including the exceptional scenery with a glorious sunset to bless the occasion.
I've not had time to craft for a few days, so I'm sharing a card I made at our retreat 2 weeks ago.

This was the 2nd shaker card I made and my favourite. I love the frame die from SSS and adore the hedgehog from MFT (another one on my wishlist)! I stamped the images on watercolour paper and coloured with Zig CCRB Markers. The background was sponged with Distress Oxide and Distress Ink, then spritzed and texture added with salt. Delightful Dahlias
Hey there! I'm finding it difficult to craft yet again. It's very close to hand-over for our beach house and my mind is far too full of everything I need to do, to be able to sit down and create. So in the meantime, I'll try to share a few cards I did at the recent Retreat and some I have finished off from my 'incomplete' stash.

I actually stamped this image a few times in different inks on different cardstock. This is my favourite result. The card is Canson Acrylic, I stamped with Versafine Black and clear embossed. I coloured with a mix of Zig CCRB markers and Daniel Smith Watercolour. Supplies:- Stamp: WPlus9 Beautiful Bouquet - Dahlia Dies: MFT Inside & Out Stitched Rectangle; SSS Hand Lettered Greetings I'm entering this in the following challenges:- Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes (no smooshing this time)

A bit of Smooshing
Whilst we were away on the weekend, I was asked to demonstrate how to use Brushos and I also wanted to try out the Heidi Swapp Minc Spray Mist, which was lots of fun. I diecut the paper and made this card.

I combined Bushos and Color Burst and then added the foil using the reactive mist and Minc Machine. The tag die is from MFT Blueprints no 13. The butterfly is from Memory Box and the word die from SSS. I'm entering the following challenges:_ Inkspirational - Watercolour Smooshing MFT Color Challenge and of course CAS Mix Up - Smooshing Happy 1st Birthday!!! Paris Skyline Shaker
Hello! I'm Back!!!! So sorry for being mia, but the build in Queenscliff is nearing completion and I've been very busy choosing furnishings, which is super exciting!!! I'll share some pics when it's all finished and we're in.
This past week I took a break from all that and was lucky enough to go to a Craft Retreat in a beautiful place, Bright, with some gorgeous, funny and uber talented Ladies! This is my 3rd time and it just gets more fun each year! A huge thanks goes to Joy Taylor (Simple by Design) who organises the retreat and included me again this year. We had so many laughs and I always learn a lot from watching what the others create - very inspiring!
This is the first card I have to share - It was inspired by the MFT Color Challenge. Jenny Dix(Jennifer D's Blog) has beennagging encouraging me to make a shaker card since last year, so this one is for her!!!
The Background was sponged with Distress Inks and then stamped the background and sentiment. Easy peasy! The only reason I don't do shakers is because I find it fiddly, but I guess with the right tools and practice it will become a quicker process!
Materials:-
Die - Mft Paris Skyline
Inks - Distress Inks, Versafine Black
Stamps:- MFT Geometric Grid BG, Concord & 9th Eat Cake & Celebrate
Sequins:- Pretty Posh Pink and various
I'm linking this to the following challenges:-

New Altenew Stamps
Today I am sharing a card I made with Altenew Halftone Circles, which I snapped up as soon as I saw it in the Altenew release blog hop! I think this set has so many possibilities!
I decided for this card to use the Altenew February Challenge as my inspiration, so the colours obviously don't blend too well, but I think I managed it without any muddy overlap.
I used the M.I.S.T.I. tool, which is definitely a must when your stamping with this style of stamp and I tried to blend the inks a bit for an ombre effect. The green inks are a new set of colours from Altenew and the pinks are from the original Altenew ink sets. The stamp sets are Halftone circle and Label Love. I'm entering the following challenges:- Altenew Simon Monday Challenge - Favourite tool (M.I.S.T.I.) |
