It's been an interesting week, since I last posted.
Last Monday I was diagnosed with a chronic lung condition called Bronchiectasis,
which is disappointing because it can only be managed not cured.
On Wednesday, my husband's Parents arrived from Scotland for a 5 weeks stay.
On Friday I had an MRI to find out what is wrong with my foot,
because although I've already had an Xray and an Ultra-sound,
nobody could agree on what the problem was and they all gave different opinions.
Anyway, the MRI result shows I have a stress fracture!
So I currently feel like hiding myself away from everyone and just recovering.
It is lovely however to have Scott's Mum and Dad here for Christmas.
I have managed to sneak in a little time for card making so I've made a card for the latest
Runway Inspired Challenge. Check out this amazing outfit! I'm also entering this in the Moxie Fab
World Keen on Neon challenge.
The bird is made with ribbon from a local discount shop and die cut using a Memory Box die. The branch is using sparkly velour paper and also die cut. |
These are our cute puppies! My daughter dressed them up for a photo shoot. |
I think Cookie needs a haircut - he looks like the Grinch! |
Leo is definitely a hat man! |
Hi Jenny! GREAT take on the RIC photo! I love the gorgeous bird diecut! The color placement is superb! Your use of sentiment is spot on, too! Hope you get your health back and will be able to manage the health issue. Sending you healing hugs! Enjoy your time with the in-laws!Thanks so much for playing with us at Runway Inspired challenge!
ReplyDeleteThis card is a beauty! You have interpreted the photo so well with this bright and cheerful card. At first I thought the bird was embossed in gold, but that is one gorgeous ribbon!
ReplyDeleteSorry to heat about your health condition. I hope you get plenty of rest and feel better soon.
Oh, what a week you've had, Jen! Hope your condition stabilises and doesn't disrupt your life too much. I love your interpretation of that inspiration photo! The ribbon is perfect. Love your dogs and their outfits - we could be seeing THEM on the runway soon!
ReplyDeleteLovely card! Very pretty elements!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your week. I hope you're able to your condition stabilized quickly. I love the boldness of your card! The colors are great, and I love that the bird is die cut ribbon--brilliant! Your cards are great--I'm a new follower. :)
ReplyDeletewell that stinks! I hope you "get back on your feet" soon and hopefully a healed one at that. Managing illness can still be a great prognosis even if it isn't ideal. I think your card is really cool and unexpected with the pops of neon. I agree with Jocelyn, it's bold!
ReplyDeleteHey Jenny! Thanks for linking this up to the Keen on Neon Challenge in the Moxie Fab World! I'm so glad you joined in on all the fun! :)
