Today I have another card to share for the MFW Hip for Handwriting challenge and Virginia's View Challenge - Stitching.
To create this, I paint a piece of textured watercolour paper and painted it with gesso. Once dry, I swiped it with gelatos, smoothing it out with a baby wipe and my fingers.
The flowers are yet another gift from the generous Joy Taylor. I coloured them with gelatos too.
The sentiment is from PTI Wet Paint. I decided to emboss it it, because the ink wasn't bold enough on the background. I used metallic pewter embossing powder, which suited this much better than black.
The leaves are from my stash - I think it is from Prima. Then I distressed the edges and added some stitching and a few sequins, before mounting it on the base card.
I'm also entering this in the SSS WEdnesday Challenge - Anything Goes.
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful weekend!
Love your painted background, Jenny! It's so organic, rustic and beautiful! The stitched borders are just the prefect touches! I am glad that you are inspired and linked this to Virginia's View Challenge!
