I was originally going to use flowers for this challenge, but I picked up this Kaisercraft stamp set at the sale and fell in love with the sentiment. I read this reading at my Brother's wedding and I couldn't resist this stamp set.
I must admit I find red a very difficult colour to use in watercolour paints as it's usually quite grainy, so I used a mix of Brushos and Peerless Watercolour, which are both quite translucent.
You should pop over to the CAS Watercolour blog to see the gorgeous inspiration from the rest of our Design Team and our uber talented Guest Designer, Darnell of DJKardKreations. I hope you'll find time to play along this month and look forward to seeing your creations in our gallery.
I'm also sharing my card at the following challenges:-
This is a fantastic design, Jenny! Love this scripture and the little bird below it! And the background is so vibrant and rich!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful graded wash, Jenny! Your carefully-chosen Brushos and Peerless Watercolour reds are so pretty. The wash is a wonderful background for the sentiment (and the bird) with your happy memory! Thank you for sharing your knowledge about red paints. Now I feel a little better about my failed attempts of using red watercolor. :-)
