Mixed Media Butterflies

Here is another pair of butterfly cards I made on the weekend


I couldn't resist making a Twofer with one of my fave Penny Black Stamps. 

I used an Altenew cover plate to emboss the leaf background and then coloured with a blue wash and covered with Nuvo Glacier Paste. The Butterfly was coloured with Zig Markers and fussy cut.  I stamped and white embossed the sentiment on vellum. To finish I added some red and pink splatter on the background and a touch of bling.

Cover Plate: Altenew 'Striped Leaf'

This time I stamped the butterfly with gold ink and made a mask to stamp the dotty background and some vintage images and sponge around the edge.  I used Zigs again to colour the butterfly and add some splatter. 
The base card was covered with patterned paper.
Definitely not my usual colours, but very sunny!

    So happy to see another set of your butterflies in the Twofer Gallery, Jenny! And these are simply gorgeous. That leafy embossed panel really serves to make your butterfly shine - I love it! And the yellow one with all those polkie dots makes my heart happy. Even though they may not be your usual colors, you've done outstanding work here. Great cards!!
