Hello there! We have 5 Tuesdays this month, which means it’s time for a double challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches! This week we’re asking our challenge participants to combine the given colours with the given sketch.
I had an old Kaisercraft stamp set sitting on my desk, so I decided to make a very simple and CAS
card for this combined theme challenge.
I sponged some Altenew and Distress Inks on the cards and then stamped the flourish.
The butterfly was coloured with Zig Markers.
Next I embossed the lines and then stamped the sentiment.
Stamps: Kaisercraft (Butterfly and flourish); SSS (sentiment)
I hope you'll check out the CC&S blog to see what the rest of the design team and our Guest Designer have created. We hope you'll be inspired to make your own card, which needs to be linked to the challenge post by 6:00 p.m. Eastern time Monday.
A beautiful butterfly, Jenny! I love the flourish background and those embossed stripes! Did you do the stripes with a score board or an embossing folder? They are so deep and lovely!
ReplyDeleteI used a scoring board and an old rounded knitting needle:)

The scored border is beautiful Jenny and sets off your pretty butterfly beautifully. Love the soft inking and the curving vine too. Vicky x
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful, love the background flourish and the embossing. A brilliant effect xx
ReplyDeleteThe butterfly with the swirls is beautiful. It’s almost like they mimic a butterfly’s flight. And the embossing was a great way to incorporate the side panel. Wonderful card!
