I did it. I thought I wasn't going to be able to participate in this month's Twofer because I didn't have any stencil/die or stamps suitable, other than a rabbit hanging from the moon. But then I remembered this stamp set in my Mixed Media box and put my thinking cap on.
I was going to add some critters to the first card, but turned it in to a shaker and decided to keep it CAS to put the focus on the scene behind the window. The second card is simple, but it took me a while to get the wash just as I wanted it. I stamped the moon on both with Versamark and swiped with Perfect Pearls and spritzed. I actually repeated this process several times to get a more raised effect.
Stamps: Kaisercraft 'Stargazer'; W& W (stars); concord & 9th 'Shine Brighter'.
Paints: Daniel smith Watercolours.

Oh and guess what? I just discovered a NBUS die which makes a pretty good sun, so I might even make another Twofer!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog! I love to read your comments:)
Amazing cards!! So creative and beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteTwo awesome designs using that moon, Jenny! Lovely night sky on both!
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards, love that watercolour wash and the moon and what a good idea to make the window card a shaker xx
ReplyDeleteWow! These are really brilliant, Jenny, literally and figuratively! That moon done up in Perfect Pearls is just awe-mazing! When you say you spritzed, do you mean just with water? Setting the full moon behind a window aperture and making it a shaker card is really inspired and I love the wash you achieved for your second design featuring different phases of the moon! Thank you so much for searching until you found something to play in Twofer Card Challenge #30! And I look forward to your next Twofer if you get a chance to play with that die! Keep Well! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteYour moon phases card is fabulous, love the wash of color. And I would love to have my bed near the window as in your second card so I could gaze out at the moon and stars at night. Two wonderful cards Jenny. Thanks for playing along at Twofer Card Challenge.
