I am so happy to be joining my friend Michelle Lupton again this year in her Christmas Card series.
This is the how it works this year; Michelle will CASE one of her guest's cards, and we will CASE one of hers! CASE stands for Copy And Share Everything - but it's not about just copying a card. It's about getting inspiration from card-making friends and making a new card with our own twist. And, of course, the card has to be a Christmas card!
I chose a floral watercolour card of Michelle's. I loved the layout, the gorgeous wash around the flowers and of course the splatter! Here is my card...
I used Karin Markers, Distress Ink and Delicata Gold to finish. I began with the full image stamped with Antique Linen and painting the lighter colours. When dry, I went on to the deeper colours, blending on the page. I let it dry over night and then inked up with gold ink and then embossed with Distress Embossing Glaze (Antique Linen), which allows some of the gold glitter to show through.
Next I painted around the bloom with Altenew Metallic Paint and splattered some of the burgundy.
The sentiment was stamped with Karin Marker.
Stamps: Altenew Festive Poinsettia
Now here is Michelle's gorgeous card. I hope you can see how I've cased her card and made it my own!
I hope you'll pop over to Michelle's blog and see which of my cards she's 'CASE-d' and also check out her other creations as she is so talented!
I would like to share my card at the following challenges:-
