THE CARD CONCEPT #183 Pumpkin Party

Hi there Crafty Friends! Welcome to another challenge for The Card Concept. The theme is 'Pumpkin Party'.

I must confess, I only have one pumpkin stamp and we don't really celebrate Halloween or Harvest much in Australia. Of course it's not Harvest time in Australia, so my card was inspired by the colours and the patterns on the pumpkins to create a Mixed Media Card...

I used an old stamp set from a now defunct company to stamp and emboss in black and white. The background was coloured with Distress Inks and Brushos.
The sentiment is from Pinkfresh Studio.  I used dies from Spellbinders to cut the rectangles.

Remember, an inspiration photo is exactly that- a starting point for inspiration. Will it be the colours, the overall theme, the texture, the actual items and/or something else that will inspire your card?

I hope you'll visit The Card Concept Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the team has created and will be inspired to play along in the challenge with us.

Choose a design style (or combine styles), create a card, and in your blog post, let us know what inspired you from the photo, what style and/or styles you chose and don't forget to display our inspiration photo and link back to our challenge.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog! I love to read your comments:)

Saturday Stamping

I've had yet another crafty day my friends. Melbourne is officially 'the most lock-downed city on Earth!' or so the News tells us, so you can see why I've been making so many cards!

My first 2 cards were inspired by the theme at Gina K Challenge, which calls for a bit of smooshing and Autumn themed. Yay! That makes me very happy:)

I used Karin Markers scribbled on my craft sheet, spritzed and a touch of Brushos for the smooshing.
When it was dry, I stamped the leaves with Distress Oxide Seedless Preserves and clear embossed. I then trimmed the panel and matted with black, adhering to the white card base. To finish, I stamped the sentiment.
Stamps: Gina K Autumn Silhouettes, Easter Blessings

This time I smooshed and splattered Distress  & DO Inks, drying each layer before adding the next.
Then I stamped the wildflowers several times in different shades of green with Karin Markers. The butterflies and sentiment were also stamped with Karin markers.
Stamps: Gina K Autumn Silhouettes, Easter Blessings, Love at all Times

My next card is very CAS and was inspired by Less is More Challenge.......

Once again I used Karin Markers to colour the image. I decided to have purple foliage and was happy with the decision.

Autumn Leaves with Brushos

Hello there Crafty Friends! I felt like playing with Brushos today and I'm sharing one of the cards I completed.

I die-cut the leaves from a smooshed background made with Brushos. I stamped some script behind the leaves in gold and inked the edges of the die-cut panel.
Dies: Stampin Up Forever Fern; Penny Black Antique Frame; Lawn Fawn Celebrate
Stamp: Kaisercraft

5 Minute Card

I spent the morning tidying out my craft room (again!) and I put all my unused backgrounds in the box of cut-offs of patterned paper. Then I happened to see the sketch for CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge and new immediately what I could do!

This was made with a stencil and Brushos and was in my reject pile from an earlier challenge. I love the many different hues of blue that you get with the Brushos.  The sentiment is from a Woodies stamp that I picked up at a Paper shop.
