Time Out Challenge #264 Magical

Hello Crafty Friends! It's time for another Time Out Challenge and this fortnight we challenge you to be... MAGICAL!

I made a smooshed background and then dry embossed with an Embossing Folder from Stampin Up. Then I added some die cut snowflakes, sentiment and bling.
To complete the card I stamped the rest of the sentiment and mounted everything on a white card base.
The gorgeous 'Believe' die is from Poppystamps.

The winner of our challenge will win a $25 credit from our generous sponsor - Picket Fence Studio and will also have the chance to be Guest Designer in a future challenge.

We are so happy to have Carol McFarland of Saw it. Had to Make it joining us again as Guest Designer for this challenge. You can see Carol's gorgeous card and more inspiration from our  fabulous DT at the TIME OUT CHALLENGES blog.

This is an old stamp set from Darcie's Stamps. I coloured the image with Copic Markers. I used some patterned paper with subtle succulents to compliment the stamped image. To finish I embossed the white panel with Stampin Up Time Worn Type 3D Embossing Folder.

We welcome  Claire Apostoloff of Life on the Scrap Heap this week as our Guest Designer.

You can see more inspiration from our talented Claire and the rest of our fabulous DT at the TIME OUT CHALLENGES blog

Easter Crafting

Hi there Crafty Friends! I hope you're all enjoying the Easter break. I've been at our Beach House for the last few days and have felt more inspired, so I've made a few cards.

My first card is for the Altenew Inspiration Challenge. This month's challenge is hosted by Joy D'Souza and she used a beautiful picture she took of a rose to inspire us...

I used lots of Altenew products to create this card. I stamped the leaves from Altenew Botanical Illustrations and gold embossed on vellum and fussy cut. The flowers from the same set were stamped with Altenew Ink and coloured with Altenew Artist Watercolor Paints. The white card was embossed with Altenew Gem Pattern 3D Embossing Folder. The sentiment is from Altenew One-Go Birthday Greetings.

I'm also sharing this card at the following:-

My next card was inspired by the prompt at The Flower Challenge, which is to make Background Stamping and Flowers the focus. I created a Garden Scene with Penny Black Cling Stamps.

I used Karin Markers direct to the starts and spritzed liberally before stamping.
Stamp sets: Penny Black Trailing, Penny Black Farm Fresh, PB Sprinkles and Smiles
I also used som tiny Stampin up flower stamps and a butterfly stamp from Darkroom Door

I'm also sharing this card at the following challenges:-

Ellibelle's Crafty Wednesday - April Challenge

This card is for Less is More Challenge ...

I used a gorgeous artsy stamp from AALL Create and Zig Markers for this card. Hopefully there's enough white space!

I'm sharing this card at the following challenges:-

One more card to share and it is for The Global Design project where we get to 'CASE' (CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit) a beautiful card from Anne Alexander...
I made a watercolour background with Nuvo Shimmer Powders, similar to Anne's colours and die-cut the panel. Then I used die-cut flowers instead of stamping and added a stamped sentiment.
The flower dies and sentiment stamp are from Stampin Up.
I hope you like my take on Anne's card

The Card Concept #182A/B Harvest Bounty &/or Christmas Joy

Hi there Crafty Friends! It's time for the second challenge challenge of the month at The Card Concept

For those of you who are new to our challenge, every two weeks we will post our inspiration photo challenge and hope that you will join us by creating a card for our challenge gallery.

We are starting something new this year- the second challenge of every month, we are posting two challenge photos!  You can choose whichever photo you prefer, or you could create two separate cards, one for each photo!

I couldn't decide, so I made 2 cards...

I stamped and coloured (with stencils) the SSS Poinsettia and Sprigs images a few months ago when a friend was visiting and we crafted together. This is her set and I think I 'need' it for myself now:) The sentiment is from Hello Bluebird and was coloured with Copics. The embossing folder, from Stampin Up,  is one of my favourites.
Stamps: SSS Holiday Sprigs;  Hello Bluebird Peace & Joy
Stencil: SSS Holiday Sprigs
Embossing Folder: Stampin Up
Scan'n'Cut used to cut images

I was inspired by the 'JOY' sign and colours to make this 'Clean and Layered' card.

**************************************

I used stamp sets, with some masking and fussy cutting for the crate of fruit. I die-cut the sunburst from an Alcohol Ink background.  The crate was stamped on the woodgrain paper and the fruit was stamped and blended with Karin Markers. The sentiment was stamped with Delicata Gold Ink.

Stamps: Stamplorations  (Dee's Artsy Impressions)Life is Sweeter, Healing Herbs
W&W sentiment
Embossing Folder: Stampin Up
Die: borrowed from my friend and I'm not sure of the brand

I was inspired by the crate of fruit in the photo to create my 2nd 'Clean & Layered' card.

We hope this new option will be one that you enjoy as much as we do. Our Designers will let you know which one they decided as well.

Remember, an inspiration photo is exactly that- a starting point for inspiration. Will it be the colours, the overall theme, the texture, the actual items and/or something else that will inspire your card?

I hope you'll visit The Card Concept Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the team has created and will be inspired to play along in the challenge with us.

Choose a design style (or combine styles), create a card, and in your blog post, let us know what inspired you from the photo, what style and/or styles you chose and don't forget to display our inspiration photo and link back to our challenge :-)

I'm also sharing my card at the following challenges:-

Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Challenge

Hi There! It's the 1st day of winter in Australia and it definitely feels like it here in Melbourne! It's also time for a new challenge at HLS Watercolour. As always, the theme is Anything Goes (watercolour), so why not give it a go!

I made a light wash and then stamped the script and bee with gold ink. Next I stamped the leaves and  sentiment with Karin Markers, spritzing with water for watercolour look. The flower was also stamped with the marker and blended with wet brush.

You can see more inspiration from the design team over at our HLS Challenge Blog It's always Anything Goes so we look forward to seeing all your watercolour creations in the gallery.

Milestone Birthday Cards and Pretty Florals

Hi their Crafty Friends! I've been a bit quiet here on the blog, but I've still been crafting in the background. Today I'm sharing some cards inspired by a few challenges.

I used a gorgeous stamp and co-ordinating stencil set from Pinkfresh Studio to create this first card.
I'm definitely sold on these type of products! I usually watercolour images, but the stencils make it so easy to sponge the colours and it's so quick!
I die-cut the window, creating the matte and used very old chipboard stickers for the number.
The image was coloured with distress Oxide Inks and then I re-stamped to get a stronger outline.

Stamp/Stencils: Pinkfresh Studio Delicate Floral Print; Newton's Nook Sentiment

************************

Next I wanted to make a CAS card and used Spellbinder Dies, coloured with Copic Markers.
I am pretty chuffed with the result.

**************************************

I stamped and coloured the flower and butterfly with Karin and Zig Markers. The white panel was embossed with a die.
Stamps: SU Hydrangea Haven, SU Butterfly Brilliance

I'm sharing at the following challenges:-

Watercolour Play

Hi there! I watched a video from @creationceecee and decided to make my own watercolour blobs using the colours from Global Design Project.

The background is very subtle, so I decided to stamp a bold image. I also added a splatter of my fave new W&N Gold Ink.
Stamp set: Stampin Up Nature's Harvest
Die: Penny Black Antique Frame
