Spring Flowers

Hey there Friends. Did you see the Pinkfresh Studio Stencilled and Hotfoil Butterfly card I shared for Just us Girls Challenge here ? I used Autumn colours because I've been so inspired by the beauty all around me at the moment! However, in the Northern Hemisphere they are celebrating Spring, so here is a card for all my European and Northern American friends!

I used Karin Markers to colour the images. The Embossing Folder is from a Discount Store.
Stamps & die: Pinkfresh Studio Floral Vase

The Card Concept #1(Patriotic Picnic)

Hey there Crafty Friends! I'm a bit late to share, but better late than never! A new challenge started yesterday at The Card Concept and The picture and colours should give you lots of scope!

I was definitely inspired by the colours, patterns  and the vase of flowers to create a Clean & Layered card.

I used a gorgeous stamp/die set from Pinkfresh Studio for the florals, a Hello Bluebird background stamp and some yummy designer paper from Kaisercraft.

Remember, an inspiration photo is a starting point for inspiration. Will it be the colours, the overall theme, the texture, the actual items and/or something else that will inspire your card?

I hope you'll visit The Card Concept Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the team has created and will be inspired to play along in the challenge with us.

Choose a design style (or combine styles), create a card, and in your blog post, let us know what inspired you from the photo, what style and/or styles you chose and don't forget to display our inspiration photo and link back to our challenge :-)

The Card Concept #192 Happy Easter

Hi there Crafty Friends! This year is rushing by and already we have another challenge beginning at The Card Concept! The theme is Happy Easter - yes, it's Easter next week! We have a lovely photo to inspire you.

I was inspired by the colours and rustic scene in the photo to create a Clean & Layered Card.

I stamped the cute bunny on a die-cut circle of watercolour paper and coloured with Karin Markers.
I chose some rustic patterned paper from Kaisercraft for the background and die-cut flower wreath.
Then I  stamped and die-cut the sentiment.

Stamps: Craft Consortium (bunny); Pinkfresh Studio (sentiment)
Die: I'm sorry I forgot to record the brand.

Remember, an inspiration photo is exactly that- a starting point for inspiration. Will it be the colours, the overall theme, the texture, the actual items and/or something else that will inspire your card?

I hope you'll visit The Card Concept Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the team has created and will be inspired to play along in the challenge with us.

Choose a design style (or combine styles), create a card, and in your blog post, let us know what inspired you from the photo, what style and/or styles you chose and don't forget to display our inspiration photo and link back to our challenge.

52 CHRISTMAS CARD THROWDOWN (TECHNIQUE NOV'22)

It's the last challenge of the month at 52 CCT challenge and our host Fabiola, wants us to  use 'STENCILS' on our Christmas cards for the Technique Challenge.

I mentioned in my last post about purchasing a gorgeous stamp/stencil/hotfoil/die co-ordinating set from Pinkfresh Studio. This time I used the Hotfoil Plates and Stencil to create a CAS Mixed Media card.

I embossed the card base with my favourite Stampin Up Embossing Folder.
The Ornaments were foiled with Spellbinders Black Foil. Although it's hard to see in the photo, it is very pretty. I used Pinkfresh Studio inks to colour them, using the stencil and an Altenew Blending Tool. The foliage is made with a Tim Holtz die and randomly embossed with gold ink.  The sentiment is stamped, gold embossed and die-cut.

I hope you'll visit the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown blog to see what the rest of the team and our talented guest, Trina created with these colours and then be inspired to join in the challenge!

Pinkfresh Studio Ornaments

Hi there Friends! I recently splashed out and bought the whole co-ordinating et of Pinkfresh Studio Ornaments. So I had some fun last weekend making some Christmas cards. Here is the first of those cards...

I used an alcohol Ink background from my stash and layered the stamped ornaments and sentiment. I only used the stamp and dies on this card, preferring to colour with Karin Markers and blend with Nuvo Glitter gloss pen. The trickiest part of this card was tie the thread to the branch - I was all thumbs!

Milestone Birthday Cards and Pretty Florals

Hi their Crafty Friends! I've been a bit quiet here on the blog, but I've still been crafting in the background. Today I'm sharing some cards inspired by a few challenges.

I used a gorgeous stamp and co-ordinating stencil set from Pinkfresh Studio to create this first card.
I'm definitely sold on these type of products! I usually watercolour images, but the stencils make it so easy to sponge the colours and it's so quick!
I die-cut the window, creating the matte and used very old chipboard stickers for the number.
The image was coloured with distress Oxide Inks and then I re-stamped to get a stronger outline.

Stamp/Stencils: Pinkfresh Studio Delicate Floral Print; Newton's Nook Sentiment

Next I wanted to make a CAS card and used Spellbinder Dies, coloured with Copic Markers.
I am pretty chuffed with the result.

I stamped and coloured the flower and butterfly with Karin and Zig Markers. The white panel was embossed with a die.
Stamps: SU Hydrangea Haven, SU Butterfly Brilliance

Birthday Wishes

Here's another 'just for fun' card, inspired by the theme at a few challenges.

To begin I stamped the background with Delicata Gold and embossed with Ranger Gold Embossing Powder.
The beautiful roses were coloured with Twinkling H2Os and Nuvo Shimmer Powder, so it's very sparkly.
I stamped, embossed and partially die-cut the sentiment.
Stamps:  Pinkfresh Studio Garden Roses; Hero Arts Background stamp
