Fave Altenew Stencil

Hi there Crafty Friends!

Today I was playing with new goodies from SSS, but I rejected most of my efforts. So instead I'm sharing a card I made a couple of months ago. It's a similar layout as this card, which was one of the winners at Altenew. This one is more CAS and I think it looks totally different with the white background.

The white panel is dry embossed and the flowers are stencilled and die-cut.
Products used:- Altenew's Hill Blossom Stencil & die set, Altenew Fancy Hello,
Altenew 3D Gem Pattern EF

I'm sharing this card at the following challenges:-

The Card Concept #208 Hello Summer

Welcome Crafty Friends. It's time for another challenge at The Card concept. The theme is Hello Summer. Well it is in the Northern Hemisphere!

I was very inspired by the display in the picture and wanted to replicate the colours and patterns to make a CLEAN & LAYERED card.
I used a very old Embossing Folder and a Stencil for the patterns and a die for the greenery.
The butterfly was cut from Washi Tape layered on white card.

Remember, an inspiration photo is exactly that- a starting point for inspiration. Will it be the colours, the overall theme, the texture, the actual items and/or something else that will inspire your card?

I hope you'll visit The Card Concept Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the team has created and will be inspired to play along in the challenge with us.

Choose a design style (or combine styles), create a card, and in your blog post, let us know what inspired you from the photo, what style and/or styles you chose and don't forget to display our inspiration photo and link back to our challenge.

Time Out Challenge #240 Sportive

Hi there Crafty Friends. Welcome back Crafty Friends. It's time for a new Time Out Challenge. This week we challenge you to be 'SPORTIVE'.

You can have some fun with this word. Read the definition below as it means more than simply being sporty. I leant towards 'being playful' and there's nothing cuter than a playful Panda, except maybe 5 Pandas!

I've used an old stamp set from The Ton Stamps for the Pandas, adding a touch of shading and detail with Copic Markers and then fussy cut.  In the background I stencilled some leaves (SSS stencil)in matching ink and splattered some Nuvo shimmer. The tree frame die is from Hello Bluebird.

THE CARD CONCEPT #197 A/B Industrial Modern or Nature Calls

Hi there Crafty Friends! It's time for the second challenge challenge of the month at The Card Concept which means we post 2 photos and you can choose which photo you prefer, or you could create two separate cards, one for each photo!

I was inspired by the first photo and colours  #197a to make a Clean & Layered Industrial style card.

I used a piece of patterned paper for the background and tone on tone stencilling for the blue panel. The typewriter was stamped with a Deep Red cling stamp. I fussy cut the image and inked the edges with Distress Ink.  The sentiment is from Visible Image and the stencil from Paper Rose Studio.

Choose a design style (or combine styles), create a card, and in your blog post, let us know what inspired you from the photo, what style and/or styles you chose and don't forget to display our inspiration photo and link back to our challenge :-)

Spots & Stripes

Hi there Crafty Fiends! I've just returned from a fun weekend away with a 'When I'm 64' party which was lot's of fun, so I haven't been crafting, but here is an oldie which fits the bill for the theme at Inkspirational Challenge

This is an Artsy take on the theme. I used a stencil for the stripes, but with the monoprint method using Karin Markers and spritzing with water. Then I stamped the flower and fussy-cut. I painted a swatch of wash on the white card and then subtly stamped some tiny spots, a leaf and some script. When dry I stamped the sentiment and black outline leaves.
The Flower stamp is from Gina K and I think the sentiment is from Altenew.

I'm also sharing at...
