The Card Concept #192 Happy Easter

Hi there Crafty Friends! This year is rushing by and already we have another challenge beginning at The Card Concept! The theme is Happy Easter - yes, it's Easter next week! We have a lovely photo to inspire you.

I was inspired by the colours and rustic scene in the photo to create a Clean & Layered Card.

I stamped the cute bunny on a die-cut circle of watercolour paper and coloured with Karin Markers.
I chose some rustic patterned paper from Kaisercraft for the background and die-cut flower wreath.
Then I  stamped and die-cut the sentiment.

Stamps: Craft Consortium (bunny); Pinkfresh Studio (sentiment)
Die: I'm sorry I forgot to record the brand.

Remember, an inspiration photo is exactly that- a starting point for inspiration. Will it be the colours, the overall theme, the texture, the actual items and/or something else that will inspire your card?

I hope you'll visit The Card Concept Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the team has created and will be inspired to play along in the challenge with us.

Choose a design style (or combine styles), create a card, and in your blog post, let us know what inspired you from the photo, what style and/or styles you chose and don't forget to display our inspiration photo and link back to our challenge.

Tuesday Trio

Hi again. I'm sharing another collection of cards which will hopefully brighten your day.

I had fun colouring these cute critters with Daniel Smith Watercolours on Arches 300gsm Cold Pressed Watercolour Paper. The background was dry embossed, but left white for a more CAS look.
Stamps: Craft Consortium Forest Friends; Altenew Thinking of You
EF: Stampin Up

I found this gorgeous Sausage Dog wrapping paper and couldn't resist using it on a card. The background was made with an old wood-mount stamp. I then stamped the balloon and hat to make the dog more festive.

This was my first attempt at making a Gatefold card with a Poppystamps die set. I'm not sure whether I like the bold colours, but I was using old coloured cardstock from my stash.
I coloured the butterfly and foliage to match.
Stamps: Penny Black Butterfly Garden
Dies: Poppystamp.

Friday Makes

Hi there. I have another few cards to share today.

I used Karin Markers, Distress Oxide & Distress Inks to stamp the tree, touching up on the page.
The fox was coloured with Zig Markers and Prismacolor Pencils.
Stamps: Penny Black Tree; Craft Consortium Forest Friends; Gina K Autumn Silhouette

******************************************

I used a very old stamp set for the circles and Zig & Karin Markers.
Stamps: Prima Marketing Stitched Circles; Stamplorations

This card was very easy. Again I used Karin & Zig Markers.
I embossed a few lines to add a subtle finish.
Unfortunately I have no idea of the stamp company as the stamp was a gift.

I'm sharing at the following challenges:-

1st card

Circles (2nd card)

Peony for a Friend

Here is a card inspired by Susan Wong for 'Case the Designer' week at GDP Challenge

I used some beautiful patterned paper from Craft Consortium as my background. I stamped the flowers with Karin Markers and blended with Zig Markers.  Then I adhered to a white card base and tied the black twine. To finish a stamped the sentiment on the die-cut shape and inked the edges with co-ordinating ink.
Stamps: Stampin Up Prized Peony
Dies: Penny Black Rectangle Frame; Papertrey Ink Don't Forget to Write

I'm sharing at the following challenges:-

CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit

die-cuts, flowers, twine

Here is another card I made, based on a sketch in last week's CC&S.

Stamp and dies from Sugar Pea Designs. I used some of my remaining washi tape (sadly most of my washi tapes melted together in the summer heat).
