Gorgeous Girl

 Hi there! Last month I was a Guest Designer for Uniquely Creative using their Mini kit 'Gorgeous Girl'. 

Here is another card using the kit, but this time I used only part of the stamp to make floral borders.


To begin I made a smooshed background with Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina.  Next I stencilled in 2 corners with the same ink.  The flowers were stamped with the same ink again and embossed with Silver Pearl Embossing Powder.
The butterflies are also from UQ and were stamped on Vellum and embossed.

Uniquely Creat Guest Design Gig

I was delighted to be asked back to Uniquely Creative to design for their Gorgeous Girl Kit.



Uniquely Creative Products Used:

UC1849 Gorgeous Girl Stamp, UCD2007 Gorgeous Girl Die

Other Products Used:

Spellbinders Venise Lace Hemstitch Die, Smooth Ivory Cardstock, Textured Cardstock,  green cardstock, Prismacolor Premier Pencils, Gamsol, Karin Markers, Distress Oxide Inks & Distress Inks, Nuvo Glitter Gloss Aqua Shimmer, Altenew Metallic Ink

Instructions: 

1. On Smooth Ivory cardstock, stamp the image with Distress Ink (Tea Dye) and Versafine Clair (Fallen Leaves). Use the darker ink around face and body.

2. Using watered down Tea Dye Ink and Karin Marker Sepia, watercolour around the outside of the image.



3. Colour the image with Prismacolor Pencils, blending with Gamsol and adding some highlights with Karin Markers. 



4. Die-cut the frame and matte with dark green card.

5. Colour some card with the coordinating green pencil and cut in 3 strips, adhering to textured cardstock.



6. Add shimmer and metallic paint (gold) to dress and flowers.

Guest Dersign Gig for Uniquely Creative May Mini Kit

 Hi there. I'm so happy to be Guest Designing for Uniquely Creative again this month.  The kit includes a gorgeous  stamps and co-ordinating dies with a gorgeous teacup, flowers, a tag and sweet sentiments.  Also included in the kit are beautiful papers, a stencil, printed sentiments and wooden laser cut elements. 

Here is my first card...


The images were stamped, embossed and coloured with Zig Markers.
I stencilled Matte Texture paste on the white card and when dry splattered some blue ink. Next I stamped and die-cut the sentiment which is from the Butterfly Mini Kit. 

Uniquely Creative Products Used: UC1842 Teacup Builder Stamp set, UCD1987 Teacup Builder Die, Stencil, UC1810 Butterflies Stamp Set (sentiment) UCD1923 Butterflies Die              


My next card was Paper-Pieced using patterned paper from the kit.



1/ Compare all the patterned papers to chose which 3 look best together


2/ Stamp the teacup on each of the 3 images. 

3/ Fussy cut the required pieces along the black line


4/ Ink the edges of the cut pieces with a black marker (from behind) or sponge with black ink.


5/ Stamp the teacup again on white card and die-cut.


6/ Adhere the fussy-cut pieces to the die-cut teacup.


7/ Stamp the tag and sentiment on the white card and die-cut. Stamp bow on striped paper and fussy-cut. Adhere to tag.


8/ Die-cut background paper, matt with black card and mount on white card base. Add sequins.Adhere teacup and tag to card.

52 CHRISTMAS CARD THROWDOWN (MAY THEME)

  The third Saturday of each month at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown is either a theme or recipe challenge.

 Fabiola decided to go for a theme this month and she wants to see SANTA on your cards. I'm sure this will be a popular theme:)


I used a NBUS stamp set from Uniquely Creative and made a CAS card. I love the long list.

52 Christmas Card Throwdown

  Hi there! I'm back with another card for 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. This week Lucinda, our host, has given us a fun theme ... 'Tags on Cards'!


I stencilled the tree background on to watercolour card and then die-cut the tag, adding the die-cut snow slope. Next I stamped, coloured and fussy-cut the critters. I stamped the sentiment in red and layered another red tag behind to add a bit more colour. To finish, I added twine a mounted on a card with an embossed panel.

Guesting for 52 Christmas Card Throwdown

 I'm very excited and honoured to be a Guest Designer for 52 Christmas Card Throwdown and I love the theme!


I chose to use this beautiful  Polar Bear Stamp and made a whimsical background for him! 
I made the background with Distress Oxide Inks, a touch of Brushos and Nuvo Glacier Paste for shimmer.
I stamped and white embossed the trees and snowflakes. The bear was coloured with Copic Markers.

Waddle I do?

Hi there.  I pulled out the very cute 'Penguin Pals' stamp set from Uniquely Creative to make a quick card for a couple of challenges.


This was quick and easy to make. I coloured the images with Copic Markers and stamped the sentiment and snowflakes with Memento Ink.  The window die is from MFT.
