Hi there. I've been practising with my Karin Markers and Zigs and made this card today...
I used a few new (to me) products in the making of this card. First of all I'd been noticing this gorgeous textured card around blog land and discovered it was a made with a SU embossing folder that was about to retire. Luckily I just managed to get it and you'll be seeing this texture a lot in the future!
I stamped and coloured the images with the markers. The sentiment was stamped with Altenew Dark Night, which is a wonderful alternative to black. I fussy cut around the sentiment, although I'm not sure if I. could have stamped it on the card before embossing.
Stamps:- Stampin Up Flowering Blooms, Butterfly Bouquet, Southern Serenade
Dies:- Stampin Up Full Bloom
I'm sharing at the following challenges:-
One of my faves

ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy this embossing folder as much as I enjoy mine, Jenny! Such a pretty flower and butterfly! I stamp on my embossing without problem, but use the MISTI. If you stamp before you emboss, make sure the ink is good and dry. It can last a l o n g time on the embossing folder! Ask me how I know!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card. I love that embossed background and I love the sentiment stamped in the navy x.
ReplyDeleteyes, I have noticed that embossing folder too, such lovely subtle texture. I shall look forward to seeing more of your cards made with it. Love the overall design of you card and how you have coloured the flower xx
