CAS Colours & Sketches #408

It's the last challenge of the month and Julie, our host, has provided us with another fantastic sketch.

On watercolour paper I stamped the feathers using Altenew Inks,  blended and shading on the page. I used Altenew Metallic paint to ad the gold highlights.
I stamped the sentiment and highlighted the rectangle panel with Delicata Gold Ink.
Stamps: Prima (feathers), Clearly Besotted (sentiment)
Die: Penny Black

Isn't this a great sketch!!!

I hope you'll pop on over to our blog to see the wonderful creations from our Design Team and be inspired to join us in the challenge.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog! I love to read your comments:)

CAS Mix Up reminder (Jan 21)

Hi there. Just popping in to remind you about this month's  CAS Mix Up Challenge.

It's a Mixed Media challenge this month. Hilary is our host and she wants  to see us use 'SPLATTERS' on our cards.  Don't forget to keep it CAS.

I made a watercolour background with Distress Inks & Nuvo Shimmer Powder and then added lots of splatter. When dry I die-cut the butterfly from the background. The background of the window  and the foliage were stamped with the inks and Nuvo Shimmer Powder.
Stamps: Old Stampin Up wood-mount, SU Forever Greenery; Altenew Leaf Canopy
Dies: Alexandra Renke Butterfly; MFT Peekaboo Window

You can find more inspiration over on the CAS Mix Up Blog and we hope you'll be inspired to join the challenge.

CAS Mix Up ( Jan 2021 )

Hi there. Welcome to first CAS Mix Up Challenge for 2021!

This month is a Mixed Media Challenge. Hilary is our host and she wants us to have some fun with 'SPLATTERS'. This gives you lots of freedom, so I hope you'll be inspired to join us.

I stamped the koala image and coloured with Zig Markers. The die-cut leafy frames were coloured with Altenew Metallic Paints. I then added some splatters with the metallic paints and stamped the sentiment.

Just to remind you, here are the rules...

We are very excited to have Elaine from Craft-E-Place as our Guest Designer this month.  You can see Elaine's card and more from our fabulous DT at the CAS Mix Up blog.

Stamps: Koala (lawnfawn), Sentiment (Stamplorations)
