THE CARD CONCEPT #189a/b Cozy Comfort or Vintage Hearts

Hi there Crafty Friends! It's time for the second challenge challenge of the month at The Card Concept.

The second challenge of every month, we post two challenge photos!  You can choose whichever photo you prefer, or you could create two separate cards, one for each photo!

I  was inspired by the striped hearts and colours to create this Clean & Layered Card.

The dies are from Concord & 9th and the stamp from Uniko.

Remember, an inspiration photo is exactly that- a starting point for inspiration. Will it be the colours, the overall theme, the texture, the actual items and/or something else that will inspire your card?

I hope you'll visit The Card Concept Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the team has created and will be inspired to play along in the challenge with us.

Choose a design style (or combine styles), create a card, and in your blog post, let us know what inspired you from the photo, what style and/or styles you chose and don't forget to display our inspiration photo and link back to our challenge :-)

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog! I love to read your comments:)

Seize the Birthday - Surprise Guest #5

Hello there Crafty Friends! I'm back again with my last card as Surprise Guest at Seize the Birthday Challenge. I've had lot's of fun over the last weeks and appreciate the honour. The theme for this challenge is 'CAKES' but the themes are always optional, so you can enter any card, as long as it's a Birthday Card.

I wanted the cake to take centre stage so I kept the background white, although I coldn't resist adding texture to make it more festive! I hope I didn't go to far:)
The cake was coloured with Zig Markers and I used the sentiment from the same stamp set.
Concord & 9th Eat Cake & Celebrate
Die: Reverse Confetti Diagonal Scallops Cover Plate; Penny Black Full Bloom & Stitched Stacker

I hope you'll visit  Seize The Birthday blog for some more fabulous inspiration from the design team and then join in the challenge with us.

Stencil Sunday

Another week comes to an end and today we found out the lockdown in Melbourne is to continue.  So I'll just keep on crafting:)

I used a NBUS stencil and Distress Oxide to create the background. The leaves are coloured with Twinkling H20s.
Stencil: Altenew 'Sketched Lines'
Stamp &vDies: Concord & 9th 'Just Because'

I'm sharing at the following challenges:-

My next card was made using another new Altenew stencil.

I coloured flowers with Distress Oxides and the leaves with Zig Markers.  I fussy cut around the stencilled image and mounted with dimensional foam on the embossed background.
Stencil: Altenew ' Sweet Spring'
Stamp: Altenew 'Label Love'
Embossing Folder: We R Memory Makers

I'm sharing my card at the following:-

Off to the Ball, Another CASE and a Butterfly

I had a busy weekend creating lots more cards. Here are a few of them...

I made a smooshed background with Twinkling H2Os and stamped the image.  Next I die-cut the window panel, stamped the sentiment and mounted on the card with dimensional tape.
Stamps:- Stamplorations 'Ever After Vignette';  Sentiment (not sure)
Die: Concord & 9th
This card was inspired by the prompt at the following challenges:-

I made another card inspired by Emma Goddard's gorgeous creation.

I've always used traditional Sunflower colours for this stamp so I was  excited to see Emma's card and I had the idea to use gold Ink and then colour with Twinkling H2Os again, because they were on my desk.
I stamped a leaf and some script on the wash background.
Stamps: Penny Black 'Sunglow'; Concord & 9th 'Just Because'; Kaisercraft (leaf); Jellibean Soup 'Mason Jar'
Die: Alexandra Renke
Ink: Delicata Gold
Embossing Powder: Ranger Liquid Platinum

I'm sharing at the following:-

Say it with Flowers

I made another smooshed background, this time with Distress Inks and Cosmic Shimmer Powder.  Then I stamped, clear embossed and fussy cut the butterfly.
Stamps: Kaisercraft 'Pen & Ink' ; Altnew 'Leaf Clusters' 'Label Love'
Die: MFT Stitched Rectangle

Sweet Birthday

Hi there. It's a very chilly Sunday where I live, not really the weather for my first card!

I decided to keep this card very CAS, but I wish now that I'd added a black border. Next time!
The stamp set is Concord & 9th 'Sweet & Cool', coloured with zig Markers and Distress Inks and glitzed up with Nuvo Shimmer Gloss.

I'm sharing at the following:-

Bright & Cheerful

I'm also sharing a Christmas tag...

I made this tag a while ago and the die is at my beach house, but I'm fairly sure it's from Concord & 9th and I think the sentiment is from Kaisercraft.

I'm sharing at the following:-

Copic Coloured Die-cuts

I'm sorry I've been quiet this week. Last year we rebuilt our beach house, which will eventually be where we live and this year we have to work on our Brighton house as it's sinking in one corner! When they have under-pinned we will get new bathrooms and later a much needed kitchen upgrade.
So I've been running around all week choosing everything for the bathrooms. I'll share some pics in a couple of weeks or so.

Today I decided I needed to get back to card making before I lose my mojo again! I recently received some new Concord & 9th stamps and dies and decided to play with the dies first.

The birdcage die is from Tim Holtz and the flower and foliage dies are from Concord & 9th 'Just Because'. The gorgeous background paper and sentiment are from Kaisercraft 'Wildflower'.
I coloured all the die cuts with Copic Markers.

I'm entering the following challenges:-
