It's time for another 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge and this week Goga, our host,  wants to see 'Wood Backgrounds' on our cards. So I  raided my paper stash and paired it with some new stamps.

The stamped sentiment and holly were coloured with Copic Markers and then die-cut.

52 Christmas Card Throwdown March Theme

Hi there! I'm back with another card for 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. This week Goga, our host,  wants us to make a Slimline card. Have you tried  this trend yet? At first I wasn't that convinced, but I bought a few products in case I changed my mind and I'm really glad I did, because they are definitely growing on me!

I think this striped die is quite festive and very suitable for Christmas.
I coloured the images with Copic Markers.
Stamps: Concord & 9th Stocking Stuffers
Dies: Concord & 9th Stocking Stuffers, Pink Fresh Fancy Diagonal Stripes

Here is a link I found helpful, the first time I made a slimline card, because you don't need any special dies or stamps.

I hope you'll visit the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown blog to see what the rest of the team created with this theme and then be inspired to join in the challenge!

New Floral Stamps and Twofer Balloons

Hi there! I'm taking a break from Design Team work, to create for some of my favourite challenges.

I used a new stamp set I recently won from The Flower Challenge.
I stamped the flowers and leaves with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Copic Markers. Then I stamped some more leaves in the background with Altenew inks. To finish, I sponged the edges with Altenew ink and DO ink, stamped the sentiment and added some splatter. I backed it with a textured grey card.
Stamps: Altenew Perfectly Perfect, Leaf Cluster.

I'm sharing at the following challenges:-

My next cards were inspired by this month's Twofer Card Challenge...

I thought this was the perfect opportunity to use this neglected set I had to have last year.
The first card was stamped with Delicata Gold Ink and involved some masking. It is for a Golden Wedding Anniversay.  For the second card I stamped and white embossed on some sponged card and fussy cut. Then I backed with patterned pappy.
Stamps: The Ton Confetti Balloons; W&W Big & Bold Happy, Newtons
Nook sentiment
Dies: MFT Stitched Alphabet.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge (January 2021)

Well 2021is upon us and let's hope it brings better times ahead for everyone! It's the first Saturday of the month, so it's time for the first challenge of the year at Penny Black Saturday Challenge.

The theme is 'ANYTHING GOES' or 'SOMETHING NEW'.

I used a new (to me) die set from Penny Black called 'Heart Around'. I  used 2 of the dies to cut and emboss.  Next I watercoloured with watered down Nuvo Shimmewr Powder and when dry, fussy cut around the heart shape.  The Hedgie was coloured with Copic Markers and fussy cut.
Stamps: Penny Black 'Lovable', 'Sprinkles & Smiles'

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020 (Day 1)

I'm so excited that Tracy McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags Event has begun and it's the 10th Year! Tracy has a phenomenal 26 sponsors this year! Congrats and thanks for creating such a fun event.

Day One's sponsor is Sunny Studios and there are so many inspiring tags. I fell in love with all the Hedgie tags and was inspired to make this tag...

The Hedgie was coloured with Copic Markers. I sketched him a little Santa hat and coloured with Copics.
I used a die to emboss the rectangle frame on the tag.
Stamp: Penny Black Lovable: Kaisercraft sentiment
Die: Penny Black Gift Tag

Bunny Shaker ... PBSC Reminder

It's mid-month already, so I want to remind you about this month's Penny Black Saturday Challenge, where the theme is

                                                            Anything Goes

                                                                        or

                                                           Too Cute to Spook

My card is Anything Goes, because I don't have any PB Halloween stamps.

I made the watercolour background by smooshing distress ink on a craft sheet.
The Bunny is coloured with Copic Markers and fussy cut.

Stamps: Penny Black Lovable; CASual Friday Somebunny
Die MFT Peekaboo Window

Brown & Pink Flowers

There's a pretty colour combo for this month's Flower challenge, so I pulled out my Copics and gave it a try.

I stamped the image with Memento Rich Cocoa and attempted to colour with the few markers that still had enough ink. I'm running out of everything at the moment, because I'm making so many cards and the shops are closed.  I then decided to re-stamp with Delicata Gold Ink, which gave it a lift.

Stamps: Concord & 9th Hello Lovely; Penny Black Sprinkles and Smiles

I'm sharing at the follow:-

Altenew and Copic Practice

I've just returned from our beach house and I'm playing catch up with some challenges.

I love the colours in this month's Altenew Inspiration Challenge and since I've invested in Copic Markers this month, I thought I should have another play with them.

I learnt something whilst making this card. Some Copic colours are easier to blend than others and reds are definitely harder for me. I used Altenew's 'Totally Tropical',  'Parrot Paradise' and 'Painted Greetings'.

I'm entering the following challenges:-

Panda Love - Cheers!

Here is another card for the Ton Stamps January challenge.

I used a Hero Arts background stamp to include the word prompt and then The Ton stamps cute 'Panda Can't Even'. The sentiment is from The Ton's 'Magnificent Magnolia'. I shaded the Pandas with Copic markers.

My First Concord & 9th Stamp

Did you see this month's challenge at Where Creativity Meets C9? They want us to use our f1st C9 stamp. Well I bought a few items at the same time, but I think 'Hello Lovely' may be the first one I inked up and I would never miss an opportunity to to use it.

It's difficult to be original with such a popular stamp, but no matter how it is used, it's gorgeous!

I coloured with Copic Markers and decided to leave some of the leaves uncoloured to make it more CAS.

Copic Blossoms

Hey! I'm still practising with Copic Markers and this time I'm even happy with the result, although it could do with more shading. Sometimes when I add that little bit more, I stuff it up, so this time I stopped.

The Blossom image is from Clearly Besotted 'Happy Everything' and the the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp 'Flower Friend'
Pink Rv00, RV11, RV34
Green G000, GG24, G85, G94
Yellow Y21, Y02
