AAA Birthday (Easel Card)

I'm so delighted to be Guest Designer at AAA Birthday Challenge and they have a fun challenge for us.

This is only my 2nd ever Easel card. I'm not sure why, because they really are very pretty.

I die-cut the wreath from the watercolour paper and then coloured with with Karin Markers.
Then I placed it back in the paper from which it was die-cut. It was then backed with Vellum paper.
Just for fun, I then turned it in to a shaker by adding some sequins and backing again with Vellum.
Next I stamped the little bird and placed at the base of the wreath.
This panel was then matted with Kraft card and adhered to the card base.
(I wont explain how I made the easel as there are lots of tutorials on Youtube and other search engines.)
I made a small panel to sit on the inside of the card, matting again with Kraft card. I then stamped the sentiment with the co-ordinating markers, blending with a wet brush on the stamp and card.
To finish, I  added some cut-offs from to match the wreath.

Die: Poppy Stamps Adriana Wreath
Stamp: Penny Black Tweet Wreath; W&W The Big, the Bold & You

I hope you'll visit the AAA Birthday Challenge see what the Design Team have created and will be inspired to join in the challenge.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge (Dec)

Hi there friends! It's the first Saturday of December, so that means a new Penny Black Saturday Challenge has begun! The theme is ...

                                            ANYTHING GOES or  'WINTER WONDERLAND'

I used Penny Black 'Dressed in Snow'  and Versafine Claire Inks to stamp the image.  I colopured the background lightly with Distress Oxide.  I decided to make a shaker and then to add some glitter with the matted frame and sentiment.

We have the incredibly talented Ellie as our Guest Designer this month.  You                                      can see Ellie's card and more from our Design Team at our blog.

A Honey Bee Shaker and a Christmas Card

I had the silly idea to make a shaker card. I forgot how frustrated I get in the process:) I think most of the sequins are stuck on the side!

I stamped and coloured the flowers and bee with Zg Markers.  I added some detail to the flowers with a Sepia marker and some Wink of Stellar to the bee's wings.
I used some water-coloured behind the window.
Stamps: Stampin Up Honey Bee; SU Forever Fern
Dies: Stampin Up Honey Bee; PB Sentiment Banner

I'm Sharing at The following challenges:-

I made the background by stamping the Christmas tree on to the EF and inking the raised bits with Altenew Ink , spritzing and then passed through the Big Shot.  The deer was stamped with grey ink and since it had lots of detail, I didn't colour in so my card could be monochromatic.
Stamps: PB: Season's Marvel; Kaisercraft Deer & Sentiment
EF: Stampin Up

Another All White Christmas Card

I really love white on white, but I do find it a challenge.  I prefer it with a pop of gold, silver or red, but this challenge is good for me to stretch myself.

I embossed the larger oval frame and then die-cut the smaller window.  I embossed the base card with and then added some white sequins and 'snow' to make a shaker. To finish I added an embossed sentiment panel and die-cut  Christmas Trees,  to which I added lots of shimmer.

I'm sharing at the following:-

Anything Goes

It's a Twofer (Feathers)

Have you seen the 'Twofer Card Challenge'? It's the brainchild of Darnell of DjKardKreations.
This is what Darnell says about her challenge ...

"The goal is to stretch your creativity as well as your stamps and dies by making two distinctly different designs using the same prompt stamp or die!

In order to stretch your design skills, try a different style with your second card! In order to stretch your schtuff, try using the prompt stamp or die in an unexpected way on your second card!"

So that is exactly what I've done!

My 1st card uses feather die cuts from an Alcohol Ink background - they are yummy and organic looking.
First I used a few alcohol inks on Yupo to create the 'paper' for the feathers and when dry, I diecut the feathers.
Next I stamped the 'chicken-wire' background and gold embossed and the the sentiment and embossed that too.
I 'strategically' placed the feathers and sequins and matted the white panel on a black base card.
The feather die was a magazine freebie, the chicken wire stamp is from Kaisercraft and the sentiment is from Stamplorations.

My second card was more challenging, because shakers are not easy for me! I prefer mess to fiddling with finer detail!

I used the negative of the die cut and an embossing folder to create texture. I cut this about 5 times and layered them to get the dimension and then I put the shaker together, using sequins from SSS and random seed beads.
The paper is from Kaisercraft and the sentiment is from SSS.

So I am entering my cards in the following challenges:-

Use Patterned Paper - it is a watercolour pattern, although hard to tell.
