Playing with Stencils

Hi there Crafty Friends. Last week while wascat our Beach House I was feeling very relaxed and inspired and made lots of cards. These are some of the cards I made using Stencils.

I used Altenew Hill Blossom Stencil & Die set and Altenew One-Go Birthday Greetings for this CAS card. I didn't even add a splatter!

Here is another card using the same supplies plus Altenew Versatile Vases.

I used yellow glitter pen for the stamen and it looks great IRL, but doesn't show up too well in the photo. The colours were inspired by CAS Colours & Sketches, but sadly I missed the deadline.

Next up are a couple of cards using Altenew Blooming Flower Bed Stencil Set (3 in 1) and Altenew One-Go Birthday Greetings.

I also used a new to me die - Altenew Fancy Enjoy  and on the second card I added some texture with the Altenew Organic Linen Embossing Folder. The arch die is from The Greetery.

My last card uses a Stamplorations stencil and then I stamped over that with  Kaisercraft Background Script and Delicata Gold Ink.
The Rectangle die is from The Greetery and the sentiment die is from Spellbinders.

I'm sharing my 3rd card at the following challenges:-

So what do you think? I hope you can see how versatile Stencils can be and that I may have inspired you.

THE CARD CONCEPT #191A&/or B

Hi there Crafty Friends! Welcome to the 2nd challenge of the month at The Card Concept.  The theme this week is SIGNS OF SPRING OR BUTTERFLY BLUES.  Well to be honest, I  just couldn't decide which picture I loved the most, so I have 2 cards to share with you.

I love blue and white and have a collection of china in these colours. I also have a bowl of lemons on the table when I use my china, so that's why I loved the inspiration photo and the colours.
The patterned paper is from Kaisercraft, the teapot stamp is a magazine freebie and the lemon stamps from The Greetery.

I hope you like my Clean & Layered card.

******************************

This time I was influenced by the colours and the beautiful butterfly to make a CAS Watercolour Card.  I used a stencil from Stamplorations to make a Monoprint and then stamped the Clearly Besotted sentiment.

Remember, an inspiration photo is exactly that- a starting point for inspiration. Will it be the colours, the overall theme, the texture, the actual items and/or something else that will inspire your card?

I hope you'll visit The Card Concept Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the team has created and will be inspired to play along in the challenge with us.

Choose a design style (or combine styles), create a card, and in your blog post, let us know what inspired you from the photo, what style and/or styles you chose and don't forget to display our inspiration photo and link back to our challenge.

Pumpkin Spice

Hey there. Today I'm sharing a card inspired by the theme at Global Design Project. In Australia we don't celebrate Halloween so much or Harvest time, so I only have one pumpkin stamp. I decided to draw my own pumpkin for this card.

I used Altenew Inks to stamp the cup, flower and foliage added a few highlights with Copic Sepia pen.
The pumpkin was sketched and coloured with Prismacolor Pencils.

Stamps: The Greetery Cozy Cup, Wplus 9 Autumn Leaves
Die: Penny Black Rectangle Frame
