Guesting for 52 Christmas Card Throwdown

I'm very excited and honoured to be a Guest Designer for 52 Christmas Card Throwdown and I love the theme!

I chose to use this beautiful  Polar Bear Stamp and made a whimsical background for him!
I made the background with Distress Oxide Inks, a touch of Brushos and Nuvo Glacier Paste for shimmer.
I stamped and white embossed the trees and snowflakes. The bear was coloured with Copic Markers.

Stamps: Lesia Zgharda Polar Bear Stamp; Kaisercraft Just Believe; Papertrey Ink  Joyful Christmas
Dies: Uniquely Creative Stitched Rolling Hills
Embossing Folder: Stampin Up Falling Snow

I hope you'll pop over to the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown blog to see what the Design Team have created and will be inspired to take your fave Polar Bear &/or Penguin and join in the fun.

Pretty Paper & Die-Cuts

I very rarely use Patterned Paper on my cards these days, but I was inspired by the theme at Seize the Birthday, which is to use die-cuts, to finally use this coveted paper from Kaisercraft.

I layered the 'Happy' die-cut to give a bit of shadow.
Dies: Paper Rose Studio Happy Stitched Border; Penny Black Butterfly
Stamp: TBA
Designer Paper: Kaisercraft Magenta

Embossing with Dies (CAS Mix Up reminder)

Hi there. Just popping in to remind you about this month's  CAS Mix Up Challenge.
It's a Mixed Media challenge this month. Joanna is our host and she wants us to 'Emboss with Stencils'.  Don't forget to include stamping on your card, one other mixed media element and keep it CAS.

I used the leaf die to cut a window in the white card. I then embossed the leaf on a smooshed background. I used Distress Inks and Cosmic Shimmer Powder.

You can find more inspiration over on the CAS Mix Up Blog, along with some links to videos.

Christmas Bells

When I saw the colour combo at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, I thought of the Penny Black bells...

I stamped the bells with Ripe Persimmon and Dried Marigold and then when dry, I stamped again with a touch of Delicata Gold.  In real life, they look rusty.  The border and sentiment were stamped in black and then I decided some black bows and gold sequins would bling it up a bit.
Looking at it now, I think I should have done the 'twine' in black. What do you think?
Stamps: Penny Black Jingle Bells, Brush Cones; Mama Elephant Basic Borders

A Fun Sketch

I masked off the sections and sponged Distress Inks & Distress Oxides and spritzed.
Next I stamped the sentiment and flower, which I. coloured with Zig Markers.
To finish, I mounted on base card and added some seqins.

Autumn Wreath

Hello there. I thoroughly enjoyed getting inky making this card and hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it!

The wreath was die-cut twice from glitter paper and layered. I made a smooshed background with Distress Inks and Brushos and then die-cut the flowers and bird.
The base card is Dark brown woodgrain card-stock.
Dies: Marianne Designs Branch Wreath; Memory Box flowers & bird;  CUTploration Stitched Rectangle
Stamp: WPlus9 Fancil Feathers

Monotone Sketch & At the Movies Sketch

I made the stencilled background with Distress Stain Brushed Pewter.
I chose to keep the card in neutral tones, with 4 die-cuts in black and white.
Stamp: Penny Black Banner Sentiments
Stencil: Altenew 'Sketched Lines'
Dies: Alexandra Renke florals; MFT Frame

My card was inspired by ...

My following card was inspired by the sketch and theme at AAA Cards...

This was very simple, but I like the clean look. I stamped the movie camera, then masked the base and stamped the stripes and sentiment.
Stamps: Kaisercraft: (movie camera); HeronArts (sentiment); (Mama Elephant Border)
