Alcohol Ink & Whale Done

Hello there.  I have a couple of cards to share today. The first card uses an Alcohol Ink background from my stash and the second card is a CAS card inspired by a sketch.

I love these colours together! I trimmed the panel and then matted with some Pink Fresh dies.
Dies: Pinkfresh Studio Floral Squares, Pinkfresh Studio  Slim Stitched Scallop Rectangles; Lawnfawn sentiment

I'm sharing this card at the following challenges:-

I  sponged (blue & green) Distress Inks and blended with a brush and water.
I stamped all the background elements and sentiment with the co-ordinating inks and die- cut the circle. I then embossed the  watercolour paper with the same circle die and adhered the stamped panel.  The whale was stamped with Distress Inks and highlighted with black fineliner.

Stamps: Stampin Up Whale Done
Die: Lil Inkers Stitched Circle

I'm sharing at the following:-

Blue, Green, Water, Ombre

Penny Black Saturday Challenge (April)

Well hello there! It's the first Saturday of the month, so we have a new challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge. This month our theme is 'ANYTHING GOES' or Optional: 'CUTE'.

I stamped the image twice on white card, coloured with Zigs and fussy-cut. I wanted it to look like Paper Tole, so I shaped the top piece with an Embossing tool. The image was then stamped on the patterned paper and the leaves, hearts and tails were coloured.
Stamps: Penny Black Love Tails, Sprinkles & Smiles

CAS Mix Up April '21

Hello there. It's April already and it's time for a new CAS Mix Up Challenge!

This month is a Mixed Media themed challenge. Linda is our host and the prompt is 'Paper Piecing'. There are some links to video tutorials on the CAS MIX UP blogPlease be sure to keep your card designs Clean and Simple and include one other Mixed Media element.

Inused the very popular Concord & 9th Hello Lovely stamp and various patterned papers.
I stamped the image 3 times and fussy cut each layer. I actually left out the smaller parts of the image, because it would have been impossible to fussy cut and it also made my card more CAS.
The sentiment stamp is from CASual Friday Stamps. I added some sequins for my extra element.

Tip: Cut right on the line and use a black marker to colour the edges

We have the talented Bonnie from Paper Crafter at Large as our Guest Designer this month and you can see her card  and more inspiration at our blog.
