CAS MIX UP JUNE '22 REMINDER

Hello there! I'm just popping in to remind you about this month's  CAS Mix Up Challenge!  It's a stencil challenge hosted by Loll and the prompt is 'PASTES/GELS'.

I used the same paste as my last card - Sizzix Pearlescent Medium. There was still a bit of colour on the stencil so it's created a very subtle rainbow effect.

The flower and foliage are die-cut and coloured with Karin Markers.
I'm sorry I've forgotten the name of stencil again!
The sentiment is from Newton's Nook.

You can find more inspiration over on the CAS Mix Up Blog from our Designer Team.  We hope you'll be inspired to join the challenge.

I'm sharing my card at the following challenges:-

I used 2 of my favourite techniques - watercolour & stencilling

Karin Markers Colors Contest (Feb '22)

Hi there. I discovered the Karin Markers challenge on Instagram and was inspired to make a couple of cards with their chosen colours.

I stamped the butterflies with Karin Markers and blended on the page with an Aquabrush. I also touched up a bit with the marker to add depth. I randomly added some black highlights.
I actually had to do this twice, because I smudged the ink when I was trimming! So I decided to fussy cut the large butterfly and layer it to make it 3d.
Stamps: Penny Black Trio of Butterflies
Karin Brushmarker Pro - Lipstick Red, Cerise, Pale Pink
Arches Watercolour Paper Hot Press
The pink looks a bit orange when diluted:(

This time I used a die from MFT - cutting it in black and Baohong Watercolour paper.
I coloured with the same markers and spritzed with water. When dry I constructed the hearrt. I then added the white border with the die in place to keep it even.
Die: MFT Geometric Heart
Sentiment Stampin Up

The pink looks a bit orange when diluted:(

ALTENEW INSPIRATION CHALLENGE (Feb '22)

TI love the gorgeous picture, with lovely fresh colours for this month's Altenew Challengeso I was inspired to create this card...

I stamped Altenew Pen Sketched Flowers on the white card and coloured with diluted Karin Markers. I scribbled the marker on my palette and picked up with a watercolour brush. I shaded the flowers with Zig markers -  the lightest shade of blue and green.  Then I used the gorgeous Spellbinders Venise Lace Hemstitch Die.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.
To finish I mounted on a black base card and added some sequins.

I'm sharing at the following challenges:-

I loved this colour combo so much, I made another card, this time on Baohong Watercolour paper and using Daniel Smith Watercolours as well as Karin Markers.

I used Altenew Beautiful Day for this card. I may add a sentiment at a later date, but like to leave some cards blank for flexibility. A bit of fussy cutting was involved and the rectangle die is Penny Black Antique Frame.

CAS Seahorse & More

Hey there! I had some fun today making cards without too much planning. I was inspired by a few challenges.

First up, a CAS card...

I used Karin Markers again to stamp and colour the die-cut. I spritzed a bit for a soft wash.
I embossed the frame with a die and popped the panel on top.  The sentiment is stamped with Delicata Gold.

I'm sharing at the following:-

My next card was inspired by the colours at Color Hues Challenge...

I used various hues of Orange and Red Karin Markers and added some white highlights. I used Grey for the leaves to keep it neutral.   This gorgeous floral stamp is from Gina K and the sentiment from Stampin Up.

I'm sharing at the following:
