Masculine Card

Hey there! Just popping in to share a card for several masculine themed challenges.

I used a steel blue ink and 2nd Generation stamping for the buildings and then a charcoal wash for the road. The car was stamped with black ink. clear embossed, coloured with Karin and Zig Markers and fussy-cut.
Here is an alternative version...

Stamps: Penny Black Skyline

The car stamp is an oldie from a defunct Australian designer

A is for Automobile.

This is the theme for the current Less is More Challenge. I thought it would be fun to make a couple of Masculine birthday cards...

It was a great opportunity to use Spellbinders Open Road die set for the first time. Thedie cuts were coloured with Copic Markers. I kept it super CAS.

I found this VW Camper stamp in my old and rarely used stamps box and paired it with The Ton Stamps Wave stamp set.

PENNY BLACK SATURDAY CHALLENGE REMINDER APR'23

It's the thirdSaturday of the month, so I'm here to remind you about this month's  Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Our theme is always Anything Goes or if you prefer the optional twist is to make a 'FUNNY' card.

I remembered I had some sentiment stamps that are quite funny, so I made 2 masculine cards ...

I used a Penny Black 'Enlightened' Background Stamp  and PB 'Birthday Love' for this card and various shades of green ink.
This time I used patterned paper and a stamped background from my stash and a sentiment from the same set as above.

If you'd like to be considered for a guest designer spot for a future challenge, please add 'GDT' after your name on the link-up...and remember to check back to see if you've been chosen!

Birthday Fishes

Just a quick post to share a fun Masculine Birthday card.

Since the stamp design is 'sketchy', I decided to colour the fishes in the same style. Sooo easy!
Stamps: Dina Wakely Scribbly Fishes; Kaisercraft sentiment

Bear in the City

My Daughter asked me to make a Bear themed card for her Boyfriend's birthday.

I stamped the cityscape off the edge on both sides of the panel using Karin Markers and spritzer.  Then I painted the road with watered down Karin Markers.
The Bear was coloured with Zig Markers.
To finish I stamped the sentiment and coloured the balloon with Karin Markers.
Can you tell I love my markers? They're so versatile!

Stamps: Penny Black Skyline; The Ton Stamps Honey Bears; W&W sentiment

Navy and Turquoise

Today  I'm playing along in the second challenge at Color Hues.   It'a very yummy colour combination...

I used an new (to me) stencil from Altenew and a combination of Distress Inks and Altenew Inks.
The stamp is ancient. It was one of my first stamps from a now defunct Australian company.

Happy BOT-day

Hi there. Well Spring has sprung in Australia, so everyone is looking forward to a lessening of restrictions and hopefully getting to enjoy the sunshine.

My daughter's boyfriend is a Robotics Engineer and I recently bought a fun set from Visible Image in order to make a special card for him. There's a cute smaller robot as well, which will be great for my Great Nephews birthdays.

I sponged Speckled Egg, Broken China & Faded Jeans Distress Oxide over the white card-stock. Then I sponged Faded Jean DO through a stencil. I stamped the 'coding' with black in sponged Black Soot DO around the edge. I coloured the Robot with Copic Markers and the sentiment with the co-ordinating DO inks.
Stamps: Visible Image Robot Data; Lawn Fawn (speech bubble)
Stencil: Visible Image Short Circuit

Guest Designing for AAA Birthdays

I am delighted and honoured to be a Guest Designer for AAA Birthday Challenge
The theme for Game #16 is Tic TacToe - choose any three elements in a row from the board and of course it needs to be a Birthday Card.

I chose the top horizontal line 'bright, embossing, masculine'

I stamped and heat embossed the sailing boat.  I used Zig Markers for the image and background.
I cut a photo frame with a Kaisercraft die, stamped a sentiment and constructed the card.
Stamps: Stamplorations 'True North'
Inspired by Stamping 'Birthday Greetings'

You can see lots more wonderful creations from the DT at the AAA Birthday blog and hopefully you'll be inspired to join in the challenge.

I'm also sharing my card at the following:-

Bravo Car

I  challenged myself to use a sketch and to use some patterned paper. I've also noticed that grey is popular at the moment, so I used this soft grey pp instead of white card.

I stamped the 2 borders and sentiment directly on the paper and the car was stamped on canvas cardstock, coloured with Zig Markers and fussy cut.  I sponged the edgesof the paper with Hickory Smoke Distress Ink.

Stamps: Mama Elephant Striped Border
Stamplorations 'Art Marks', 'Boxed Blooms & Bold Sentiments'

The car stamp is an oldie from a defunct Australian designer.

Altenew Inspiration Challenge June - Take 2 & 3

I played with some of my newer Altenew Stamps today and made a couple of cards inspired by this month's Inspiration Challenge.

I was aiming for a Masculine card with the leaf card.

I stamped the gorgeous big bloom and then masked it to stamp the gold leaves. The flower was coloured with Zig Markers and some shimmer added with Wink of Stella.
Stamps: Altenew 'Wallpaper Art'' 'Leaf Canopy'

I stamped the leaves with Memento ink, Distress Oxide and added highlights with Zig Markers.
I used 2 different Kraft cards for the matte and base card.

Stamps: Altenew 'Leaf Clusters', 'Leaf Canopy'

I'm sharing at the following:

Theme: Favourite stamps (my new fave Altenew stamp)
