I have made a tag today though, for 2 challenges - Virginia's View and SSS Monday Challenge. Actually the butterfly has been sitting in my stash for a long time, so I just added it to a tag with a few little extras.
Theme -'MAGIC' |
The butterfly is made from a metal shim used to seal a tin of Sustagen. I love using these scraps for die - cutting and often emboss it, as I've done here. I then coloured the butterfly with alcohol inks. The purple lace was a stained, tatty old scrap, which I dyed with purple ink. The sentiment is from Kaisercraft. I'm entering this in Virginia's View Tag challenge and SSS Monday challenge, which is a Magic theme. This is my second post for today - I am the Guest Designer at the City Crafter challenge this week - click here to see my earlier post. ETA: I am also entering this in the challenge at A Blog Named Hero, which is to create anything but a card. |
I am so sorry that the Shingles is still giving you grief, Jenny! I hope that you are on the mend and back to normal soon. I love how you used your embossed scrap paper for the background with the gorgeous butterfly! Thanks SO much for playing Virginia's View Challenge!
ReplyDeleteFabulous butterfly (again!), Jenny :) Hope the shingles pain goes away soon for you, it's not pleasant.
ReplyDeleteI think the butterfly is magical!!! Hope you'd feel better soon!!
ReplyDeleteExpecting the butterfly to fly off the tag! Gorgeous. Darn shingles. It takes awhile, but all will be well soon!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous tag! I love the colours of the butterfly!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Jenny ... the butterfly is simply stunning! Shingles is horrid ... hope it's on it's way out and you feel better very soon! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteOh no! What a bummer that you are struggling with shingles! But the good news is that it does NOT seem to have stolen your creativity because this tag is stunning! I am so wow'd by that butterfly! Its colors are amazing and it really pops off the page. Equally stunning is the background and I like how you embossed the elegant pattern into the white space. Just goes to show that plain white can be sophisticated, too! The bits of lace and twine give it a flourish of texture and the quote is nothing short of inspiring! You put it all together so well and I'm so glad that you shared your talents with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!
ReplyDeleteYour tag looks gorgeous Jenny - I really love the cool butterfly! Sorry to read that your not feeling so well - I hope that you get better soon - hugs xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful butterfly and tag, Jenny - I hope you start feeling a whole lot better very soon :) And thanks for playing along with us at A Blog Named Hero ;)
