Sitting Here Thinking of You

I previously shared this card at CAS Mix Up Challenge, but I also made a couple of not so 'CAS' cards.  I think they are perfect to share for the current Time Out Challenge.

I chose some old papers from my stash that were not really my style, but I thought suited a vintage/classic decor.
I stamped and embossed the chairs and tables and fussy cut. Then I worked out how to cut the backgrounds and place the furniture.
Stamp set: Hero Arts 'Wishing You Were Here'

This background paper is flocked, just like real wallpaper.

CAS COLOURS & SKETCHES #421

It's time for a Sketch Challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches. Samantha has created a fun CAS sketch for us.

I sponged Tumble Glass DO and die-cut the butterfly from this panel.  I in-laid the first butterflyand coloured the pieces with Worn Lipstick DO. The I layered the 2nd butterfly.  To finish, I stamped the
sentiment and added some bling.

I hope you'll check out the CC&S blog to see what the rest of the design team and our  Guest Designer have created.  We hope you'll be inspired to make your own card, which needs to be linked to  the challenge post by 6:00 p.m. Eastern time Monday.

Allsorts 12th Birthday

I made a very artsy card today to celebrate Allsorts Challenge 12th Birthday. This is not my usual style, but I wanted to play with my Gelatos and Caran d'Ache which haven't been touched for a long while.

I stamped the sunflower with Distress Inks initially and coloured with the the crayons and Zigs.
I stamped it again and partially embossed the image. Then I coloured the background.
The paper is Canson Acrylic Paper, which works beautifully with the crayons.

Stamp: Penny Black Sunglow

52 Christmas Card Throwdown (May Stash)

It's the last 52 CCT challenge for May and our host Fabiola wants us to raid our stash and use PERFECT PEARLS. There is a link to a video tutorial on our blog.

Sometimes you just have to keep it simple! I covered the flat side of the embossing folder with the red ink, spritzed and then ran it through the Big Shot. Next,  I swiped Versamark Ink over the raised part of the pattern and brushed Perfect Pearls in to panel. You can probably see that in some parts the gold stuck to the background, but it blended in with the red.  I set the PP by spritzing with water and heat setting.  Then I contemplated what to do next and eventually decided to just add the sentiment strip, because I liked the background too much to cover it up:)

The embossing folder was from a discount store, so I'm not sure what brand it is.
The stamp is from Hero Arts.

I hope you'll visit the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown blog to see what the rest of the team created with these colours and then be inspired to join in the challenge!
