Foiled Deer

I'm super excited to be Guest Designer at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown again this week.  It's a Stash theme. The prompt is 'Gilding' and I really wanted to make an artsy card.

I made some  templates and used Altenew & Distress Oxide Ink to sponge the Mountains.
I then used the lightest colour mixed with Nuvo Glacier Paste and water to paint the top and bottom of the card. Next I added some silver highlights to the mountains with Sennelier silver oil pastel.
I painted the  deer die-cut with Minc Reactive Paint and added gold foil with a lamminator.
The sentiment was stamped with Delicata Gold Ink.
Stamps: Winnie & Walter Happy Christmas.

I hope you'll pop over to the  52 Christmas Card Throwdown blog to see what the Design Team have created and will be inspired to join in the fun.

One Layer Christmas

Happy Monday! Our first day in 6 month we can go outside without masks!

Here are a couple of easy cards inspired by the Less is More Challenge theme...

This was a quick card with simple stamping, some embossing and colouring with Prismacolor pencils.
I also added a touch of snow with White Gouache.
Stamps: Winnie & Walter Happy Owlidays; Designs by Torico Ho Ho Ho

Another easy card with only stamping and some touches of colour.
Stamps: Winnie and Walter Happy Holidays; Stamplorations Houses

I have a third card to share inspired by Tic Tac Toe Challenge...

The base card was embossed with a Tim Holtz EF and splattered with the ink.
The tag was sponged with Distress Oxide & Distress Inks and the image stamped with Distress Ink.
I die-cut 2 butterflies, one coloured with blue ink and the top stamped in red with the same image.
To finish I added the bow (coloured with red ink) and the metal embellishments.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge Reminder (November)

Well I can hardly believe there's only 5 more weekends until Christmas! This year has dragged and yet flown at the same time. I do this every year. It get's to end of October and I think I must send out out my overseas Christmas cards and before I know it, it's nearly the end of November and I still haven't sent them! So I'll be getting them all in the post this weekend, but given the postage system this year, I'm not sure if they'll arrive in time:(

Today I'm sharing a card to remind you about this month's Penny Black Saturday Challenge. You have the choice of 'TIC TAC TOE' or Anything Goes.

I used my favourite colour again! The vase was stamped with Distress Inks, the flowers with Zig Markers and the sentiment with Delicata Gold. I added shimmer to the blooms with Wink of Stella.
Stamps: Penny Black Painter's Vase, Banner Sentiments

We have 2 wonderful Guest Designers this week , Doreen and Leslie.  You can see their gorgeous cards and more from our Design Team at our blog.

A Quick Card

Yes it's a quick card and a quick post! This card was inspired by Time Out Challenge and our theme at CAS Mix Up.

I already had the panel with the water-colour wash, so I just had to stamp the sentiment and leaves and mount on the base card.  It took me 8 minutes (I had to stamp a few times for good coverage).
All stamps from Altenew.

Twofer Stars

Just popping in to share my entry for this month's Twofer Card Challenge.

I used Altenew Metallic Inks for both my cards.  I've been using them a lot and can recommend the set.

For the background in this card, I used Cosmic Shimmer Powder (Pewter) and I am defintiely in love with this colour! I coloured the die-cut with the gold paint and then went over it with the white to get more of a White Gold. The sentiment was stamped with black and brushed with gold Perfect Pearls, for a duo effect.

I used the die to emboss this time and painted the background with the gold and white paint.
The bunny was also coloured with the paints, which looks a bit funny in the pic, but looks good IRL.

Stamps: MFT Stars Above(1st card); CASual Friday Some Bunny (2nd card)
Die: Alexandra Renke Star Wreath
MFT Stitched Rectangle

25 Days of Christmas Tags Day 15

Hi there. I'm still trying to catch up with posting my tags so here are some more...

This one was inspired by Bobbi's Poinsettia tag for Honey Bee Stamps Day 15...

I took a piece of embossed card and smooshed it in some Distress Oxide and Nuvo Glacier paste. The poinsettia was coloured with Copics and Wink of Stellar.  I scrunched up the flower and shaped with an embossing tool.  The rest of the foliage was die-cut from glitter card and scraps of embossed backgrounds.  I used some pretty gold Rhinestones and a sentiment strip from Uniquely Creative.
All dies from Tim Holtz, except the oval shape, which is from MFT.

25 Days of Christmas Tags Day 9,10 & 11

I'm catching up on a few days of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags. The 1st tag was inspired by Tracey's tag from Day 9 for sponsor pink & Main.

I sponged Distress Inks on the tag and stamped the snowflakes and sentiment. The snowman awas coloured with Copics and fussy cut. I used copics and Nuvo Shimmer paste for the shadow.
Stamps: Winnie & Walter; Verve

This tag was inspired by Jeanne Jachna for sponsor Reverse Confetti Day 10
I attempted a shaker tag was some chunky glitter and stamped these cute
Penguins from W&W. The tag dies are from MFT.

This tag was inspired by Lindsey Larsen's tag for sponsor Birch Press Design Day 11
I'm sorry I don't know the brand for this die. The die-cut has been in my stash from an old Retreat. I used red glitter paper inside the tag.
