Penny Black Saturday Challenge JUL '23 Reminder

It's the third Saturday of the month, so I'm here to remind you about this month's  Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Our theme is always Anything Goes or if you prefer the optional twist is  'THE GREAT OUTDOORScard.

It's the middle of Winter here in Australia. It certainly feels like it, but the trees in our street are still hanging on to their Autumn colour! So that's what inspired my card.
I used Penny Black 'Arbors' and Karin Markers to create my outdoors scene.

You can see more inspiration from our wonderful Guest Designer, Loll Thompson and the rest of the DT  at our blog. I hope you have the opportunity to join in our challenge.

The prize for this challenge is provided by our generous sponsor:

Prize - $20 voucher!

A Collection of Cards

Hello there Crafty Friends. I haven't been very crafty myself lately, so it's time to share some cards that have been sitting in my 'cards to post' folder.

First up, a card for ABC Birthday Challenge...

stamped the Stampers Anonymous Butterfly with black ink on magazine paper and clear embossed. The background was embossed with a SSS die and the sentiment was made with a Lawnfawn die.
*****************
Now I have a Christmas card to celebrate Christmas in July, inspired by Inkspirational Challenge.
It's been very cold here in Melbourne, very appropriate for a snowy Christmas scene.
Sadly I can't remember what products I  used. I think some of the dies are from Alexandra Renke and  the sentiment from Penny Black. I coloured the trees with gold watercolour paint and used gems from Uniquely Creative.
*******************
The next card is for Just Add Ink who are looking to see 'inlaid die-cuts'. Mine is very simple. Maybe I'll come back with layered inlaid die-cuts in another card.
The dies are from a a Taylored Creations kit and have been coloured with PanPastels.

****************
and to finish I have a card for The Flower Challenge. The theme is make a 'CAS' card.
I used a beautiful stamp set from Stamplorations, designed by the very talented Deepti. I used Karin Markers to colour the image and patterned paper for the background.
****************

I'm linking my cards at the following challenges:-

TIME OUT CHALLENGE #242

Hi there Crafty Friends. It's time for another  Time Out Challenge. This week we want you to be Inspired by Words.. “If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.” ~ Albert Einstein

Being a big reader, I love this quote. I need to explain my card.  In Australia we have a bird called the SUPERB FAIRY WREN and it has a lovely big tail feather - get it?  I also discovered a fairy tale by the Grimm Brothers called The Willow-Wren and the BEAR. Finally, the script on the the stamp says 'Tales of the Little Wren'.

I began by randomly sponging ink, stencilling and partially stamping on the blank card.
When dry, I stamped the Wren stamp in black and clear embossed. I didn't need to add splatter, because the stamp did it for me:)

Here are the products I used from our wonderful sponsor AALL & Creates - StampsA6 #839 & A7 #631and Stencil #39

The winner of our challenge will win a $20 credit from our generous sponsor - AAL & CREATE and will also have the chance to be Guest Designer in a future challenge.

We have our former Teamie, Kim Heggins of  Cupcakes, Cards and Kim joining us as Guest Designer. You can see Kim's amazing card and more inspiration from our fabulous DT at the TIME OUT CHALLENGES blog. I hope you have the opportunity to join in our challenge.
