Fabulous Fuschias

Hi there.  I have another card to share which was inspired by several challenge themes.

I used a blending brush, stencil and distress ink to make the background. The stamps are from Clearly Besotted 'Fabulous Fuschias' and Zig Markers were used to stamp and colour the images.

ANYTHING GOES

CAS with Texture

Taking a break from deep cleaning bathrooms to share a card I made when experimenting with acrylic paints. It is similar to a card I posted here.

I dabbed various colours of Acrylic Paint on some card and then with a small strip of cardboard, I swiped the paint in a 'flicky' motion to smooth out on the card.
Some of the paint I used was dimensional, so I have a lot of texture.

Bring on the Happy

We all need a bit of Happy right now, don't we!

Here's another card inspired by our Cas Watercolour Challenge..

I sprinkled some blue and green Brushos on my craft sheet and spritzed, smooshed and pounced to get the above result. Then I used a Kaisercraft die to cut the leaves.

The  current CAS Watercolour Challenge is open until 24 March.

I'm also entering my card in the following challenges:-

Baptism Card

Last weekend we celebrated the Baptism of my great-nephew. He was a real little champ and looked like an angel👼.

Here is the card I made for the occasion ...

I used Nuvo Shimmer Powders and Distress Inks for the background. The 'blessings' sentiment is from W&W and I used a vintage typewriter for his name. The elephants are from WPlus9 and were coloured with Copic Markers.

See, I told you he looked like an angel:)

CAS March Challenge Reminders

Hi. Just popping in to remind you about this month's CAS Mix Up Challenge, which I'm hosting.

I chose 'ACRYLIC PAINT' as our theme and we've all been having fun getting messy!

There are so many types of Acrylic paint, so here is a link to explain a bit about their applications.
If you don't have any acrylic paint, you could use a paint pen and remember Tim Holtz Distress Paints too.

I've provided some other links to give you ideas at the CAS MIX UP  blog

CAS Mix Up are  also celebrating our 4th Birthday this month, so we have 2 prizes up for grabs.

This card was so easy to create. I used a stencil and a sponge and began with the citron coloured paint. When it was completely dry, I sponged the black layer, moving the stencil to a different position.

I love how this turned out and the feel of the the acrylic paint.

I hope you'll join us in this fun challenge and visit our blog to get inspiration from our Design team and fabulous Guest Designer, Betty from Created by BJK.

_______________________________________________________________
We asking you to use green or rainbow or Irish related this month, so I've used multiple shades of green on my card.

I used Zig Markers and spritzing to stamp the leaves and blended with a damp brush.  The leaf stamps are from Wplus9 and the sentiment from Penny Black.

I hope you visit our blog to see what Hannelie, our uber talented Guest Designer and the rest of the team have created and you can join in the challenge.

Penny Black Spring

Hello there! It's the first Saturday of the month, so that means we're staring a new Penny Black Saturday Challenge.

Firstly, some DT news. We are very excited to have 3 new incredibly talented peeps joining our team this month. A huge welcome to Helen (Moments of Crafting), Kylie (Addicted to Stamps), and Milla (Mustesormi)

This month's theme is as always 'ANYTHING GOES' or 'THINK SPRING'.

I stamped the flowers with Stazon ink on to Acrylic cardstock. This card is the perfect substrate for blending Zig Markers, without water. I can't remember the name of the stamp and will add it when I find it. The sentiment is from PB 'Sprinkle and Smiles'.

Edited: the stamp is called PB 'Softly' (thanks L0ll!)

The prize for this challenge is provided by our generous sponsor

Prize - $20 voucher!

Luck of the Irish

It's time for a new CAS Watercolour Challenge and this month our host Julia, has chosen 'Luck of the Irish' as her theme. I was planning to do a 4 leaf clover, but it was too big, so I decided to do a 3 leaf
Shamrock instead.

I sprinkled some Brushos on my craft sheet, added some water and smooshed and pounced some card
in the colour. When dry, I repeated the process using Nuvo Shimmer Powder, which added some lovely shimmer.  The stitched heart die is from Mama Elephant and the gorgeous sentiment stamp is from Just Rite Stamps. I embossed the stripes at the bottom of the card for interest and of course a touch of gold bling!

This month our Guest Designer is Hannelie from  Desert Diva.
I hope you visit our blog to see what the rest of the team have created and you can join in the challenge.

CAS MIX Up Birthday

Hello there. It's time for a new challenge at CAS Mix Up and it's our 4th Birthday!!!
I've only been on the design team for a few months, but before that  I always tried to enter the challenge, because the themes are always fun and often challenge us to try something new.

Congratulations to Loll and Bonnie for creating this wonderful challenge!

This month I'm hosting and I'm challenging you to use Acrylic Paint on your card.

There are so many types of Acrylic paint, so here is a link to explain a bit about their applications.
If you don't have any acrylic paint, you could use a paint pen and remember Tim Holtz Distress Paints too.

I've provided some other links to give you ideas at the CAS MIX UP  blog

I attempted a new (to me) technique shown in Teela's video...

ACRYLIC PAINT/ DIE-CUTS / STAMPING

I dabbed various colours of Acrylic Paint on some card and then with a small strip of cardboard, I swiped the paint in a 'flicky' motion to smooth out on the card. You'll probably need to watch the video to understand what I did. Some of the paint I used was dimensional, so I have na lot of texture. I waited until the next day to die-cut the panel and backed it with a black panel to matte it.
The rectangle die is from Penny Black and the flower from Alexandra Renke.
The sentiment is from Penny Black 'Banner Sentiments'.

We have the talented Betty from Created by BJK as our Guest Designer this month and you can see her card  and more inspiration at our blog.

We have 2 prizes to give away this month - one to the winner and one randomly drawn, so I hope you have some fun and join us in the challenge to celebrate our 4th Birthday:)
