C.A.S.E. a DT card at JUGS

Hi there Crafty Friends. It CASE a Designer Week at Just Us Girls Challenge and I love Carol's  gorgeous card, so I couldn't resist playing along. 

I love the layout of Carol's card and this is where I took my inspiration as well as the green background...

I used one of my fave Stampers Anonymous stamps called  'French Garden'. I coloured the flower with Prismacolor Pencils and the setiment die is from Altenew. The background was dry embossed with a very old, which I got at a Discount Shop. The die is from MFT.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge May '26

Time Out Challenge #312 Photo Inspiration

 Hi there Crafty Friends! It's time for a new challenge at Time Out and this time it is a 'Photo Inspiration Challenge. The gorgeous photo of a Sunset was taken by our team-mate Deepti. 

I found this stamp set on Amazon from a company called Globleland. I'd been looking for a set with a jetty, which reminds me of my Happy Place, Queenscliff, where we have a house.

I used Distress Inks and Alenew Inks for the sponged background. I also added some Gold ink for a shimmer effect to the sunset.

Seize the Birthday #325 Primarily Pink

Hi there Crafty Friends! It's time for another Seize The Birthday Challenge.  

Nacny is our host for this challenge and her chosen Topping is for us to 'Primarily Pink'.   

If however you are not in to our 'toppings' option, you can make any kind of  Birthday Card. 

I used a Simon Says Stamp Embossing Folder with Co-ordinating Dies. The 'pink' is from a Paper Pad and once embossed I swiped some white ink over parts and embossed with Ranger Frosted Crystal. The flowers were also embossed with the Frosted Crystal several times. 

The Sentiment Stamp and Frame Die are from Penny Black.

PENNY BLACK SATURDAY CHALLENGE APRIL'26 Reminder

  It's the 3rd Saturday of the month, so it's time to remind you about  Penny Black Saturday Challenge.  This month our theme is 'ANYTHING GOES' or Optional:Pastel Colours.

The flower is from Penny Black called Garden Trio. It was coloured with Zig Markers and a touch Of Wink of Stellar. I used a very old Embossing Folder and smooshed the background with Distress Oxide Ink.

Time Out Challenge #311 Pick 2

 Hi there Crafty Friends! It's time for a new challenge at Time Out. We've changed up our challenge themes this year and for this challenge we want you to Pick (at least) Two from the following:- Earth, Rain, Pastel, Hope, Tree, Bloom.

I have chosen Pastel, Bloom...

I used an old stamp from Stamplorations, designed by Shery, called Coffee Thank You.  I coloured the image with Prismacolor Pencils and then fussy cut, placing it on some Japenese vellum for a soft patel background. The frame die is from Penny Black. The teabag tag is  a magazine freebie.                  

Stamplorations is our generous sponsor for this challenge . The winner,  as chosen by the Design Team, will receive a  $25 Store Credit as a prize from Stamplorations.

I used beautiful Penny Black Hollyhock Haven Stamp, but only part of the image. I gold embossed the flowers and  sentiment as well as the edges of the panel. The flowers were watercoloured with Karin Markers.

Even though it's Autumn in Australia, the the Pastel theme reminded me of Spring Flowers, so I pulled out my fave Penny Black Magnolia Stamps and created a watercolour effect scene. 

Once the ink was dry, I embossed the panel to create a linen look.

Time Out Challenge #310 Theme - Sweet Treats

Hi there Crafty Friends! It's time for a new Time Out Challenge and this week we want you to make a card inspired by the our Theme - 'SWEET TREATS'. I like most sweet things, but Ice Cream is probably my favourite.

I used the cute Poppystamps Whittle Ice Cream Die and coloured with Distress Inks. The Embossing Folder is from Stampin Up.  The texture of this EF reminded me of Gelati being layered on to cone. 

Our Guest Designer this week is the lovely Dawn Turley from Dawn's World.

Seize the Birthday #323 Add a Tag

 Hi there Crafty Friends! It's time for another Seize The Birthday Challenge.

Time Out Challenge #309 - Theme Chalenge

 Hi there Crafty Friends! A new challenge has begun at Time Out and it's a Theme Challenge. 

The theme is to 'USE A CLEAR ELEMENT OR ELEMENTS ON YOUR PROJECT'.

Think sequins, enamel dots, gemstones, stickers, and nylon thread,  to name a few. Also, clear elements like acetate sheets or window plastic can be used on handmade cards to create shaker windows, floating elements, interactive overlays, or full transparent card bases.

I have made a Shaker Card, but instead of using Acetate, I recycled a clear bag, which is much easier and less fiddly. 

Well this is a riot of colours, isn't it?!!

Although I toned the colours down a bit.

The cute stamp set is from Stamping Bella. I coloured the images with Polychromos. I had to add the strip of patterned paper to give the girl somewhere to stand:)

 The arch die is from The Greetery and the strip sentiment is from Uniquely Creative. 

The background of the window was smooshed with Distress Inks.
