CAS Colours & Sketches #413 (Double Challenge)

Hello there! We have 5 Tuesdays this month,  which means it’s time for a double challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches This week we’re asking our challenge participants to combine the given colours with the given sketch.

I had an old Kaisercraft stamp set sitting on my desk, so I decided to make a very simple and CAS
card for this combined theme challenge.
I sponged some Altenew and Distress Inks on the cards and then stamped the flourish.
The butterfly was coloured with Zig Markers.
Next I embossed the lines and then stamped the sentiment.
Stamps: Kaisercraft (Butterfly and  flourish); SSS (sentiment)

I hope you'll check out the
CC&S blog to see what the rest of the design team and our  Guest Designer have created.  We hope you'll be inspired to make your own card, which needs to be linked to  the challenge post by 6:00 p.m. Eastern time Monday.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog! I love to read your comments:)

More Rain

Well not in real life! It's a lovely sunny day, but I made another 'rain' themed card, with another stamp from Colorado Crafts.

To begin I stamped and embossed the image and masked with masking fluid. I then made a wash with Daniel Smith Watercolours. When dry, I rubbed off the masking fluid and coloured the image with Zig Markers. She's wearing a High Vis jacket - I used a bit of flouro.
Stamps:- CC Lovely Legs -'Sympathy'; Taylored Expressions 'Over the Rainbow'

I'm sharing at the following:

Whatever the Weather

Paper Pieced Hare

I recently purchased some Colorado Crafts stamps and this is the first one I've had the chance to play with  ...

I stamped the image on patterned paper, shading with Zigs on the Hare. The paper I used for the Umbrella was a much coveted scrap from my stash.
Stamp: Colorado Craft All Weathered Friend

I'm sharing this card at the following challenges:-

Whatever the Weather

Here is another card I made today. I'm not really sure if I like it. For some reason Spring pastel colours don't really do it for me, but I'm sharing anyway.

This is an old set from Stampin Up,  called 'Hello Easter'.

I'm sharing at the following challenges:-

Paris (Feel Better)

Hi there. I'm doing a quick post to test if the glitches I've experienced with Blogger have rectified themselves.

They've had terrible floods in the North East of Australia and I'm feeling for all the effected people and animals. In most parts of Victoria, we've been much luckier as the rain has been lighter and consistent, which means the Farmers are smiling!

I used one of my fave Penny Black Stamps and a stencil made from dies for the background.

I'm sharing at the following challenges:-

Theme: Whatever the Weather.

52 Christmas Card Throwdown (March - Stash)

It's time for another 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge and this week Goga, our host,  wants to see 'Wood Backgrounds' on our cards. So I  raided my paper stash and paired it with some new stamps.

The stamped sentiment and holly were coloured with Copic Markers and then die-cut.
Stamps: SSS Chunky Christmas
Dies: SSS Chunky Christmas; Penny Black Rectangle die

I hope you'll visit the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown blog to see what our Guest Designer and the rest of the team have created  and then be inspired to join in the challenge!

Baby Bundle

I need to build up my supply of baby cards, so I'm playing at the Less is More Challenge again.  This one is a no stamp card. I always feel like somethings missing when I don't stamp on a card, but I really felt the die-cut sentiment looked best.

I die-cut the stork and sentiment with watercolour paper and the beak and legs are lightly coloured with Zig Marker (Vanilla).  The die-cut bundle and hearts were from a scrap of patterned paper.
The yellow card base was embossed with the rectangle die.
Dies:Magnolia Stamps DooHickey Stork; SSS sentiment; MFT Peekaboo rectangle

I'm sharing my card at the following challenges:-

Yellow card base is very different from my normal style.

Blogger Problems/Help Needed

  Hi all.

I've never really had any problems with Blogger in all the years I've been blogging, but tonight something very strange happened.

I checked to see if a post had published for 52CCT, which it had, but all my other posts for the past week are missing. The weird thing is if you click on my link from challenge blogs it takes you to the post, but if you click on the home button or just open the blog it's not showing.

The missing posts are showing in the archives on the sidebar and also as published on the dashboard. I tried reverting to draft and then publishing again, but it made no difference.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I'm off to bed now and I'm hoping it's a glitch that might be corrected by Blogger, but any advice would be appreciated.

x Jenny

Ps: Maybe I shouldn't have had that second glass of wine!!🍷🍷😩🤪

UPDATE: Situation still the same. But I changed one of the posts to be automatically  published and it is now showing as published today. I'm just going to leave the rest and hope that I don't have the problem in the future.

FURTHER UPDATE: I may have fixed the missing post problem, but still can't work out why comments from latest 52CCT (JOY card) went on an earlier post. Maybe someone could comment for me to see if it's rectified. 🤨

CAS Dog Birthday

Hi there. I just managed to make a card for Less is More Challenge, in between all my DT stuff.

To finish I stamped the sentiment.
Stamps: Stamplorations (The Bees Knees) Pets; Sentiment is a magazine freebie.
Die: Spellbinders
Stencil: Kaisercraft

I'm sharing my card at the following challenges:-

The sentiment was stamped on co-ordinating paper and framed with white.
Stamps: Winnie & Walter
Dies: MFT

Penny Black Saturday Challenge Reminder (March '21)

It's the 3rd Saturday of the month, so we have more inspiration for you at the Penny Black Saturday Challenge. The theme is 'ANYTHING GOES' or the optional twist is 'FLOWERS'.

I've gone with the 'FLOWERS' prompt. I tried to make my card look a bit oriental and different from previous cards where I've used this stamp.

I used Zig Markers and Distress Inks to stamp and add detail to the flowers.
Stamps: Penny Black Gentle Whisper and Sprinkle and Smiles.
Patterned Paper: Kaisercraft

I hope you'll pop on over to our challenge blog to see more inspiring cards from our team. We'd love to see your card in the gallery:)

52 Christmas Card Throwdown March Theme

Hi there! I'm back with another card for 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. This week Goga, our host,  wants us to make a Slimline card. Have you tried  this trend yet? At first I wasn't that convinced, but I bought a few products in case I changed my mind and I'm really glad I did, because they are definitely growing on me!

I think this striped die is quite festive and very suitable for Christmas.
I coloured the images with Copic Markers.
Stamps: Concord & 9th Stocking Stuffers
Dies: Concord & 9th Stocking Stuffers, Pink Fresh Fancy Diagonal Stripes

Here is a link I found helpful, the first time I made a slimline card, because you don't need any special dies or stamps.

I hope you'll visit the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown blog to see what the rest of the team created with this theme and then be inspired to join in the challenge!

CAS Colours & Sketches #411

Hi there. It's time for another Colour themed challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge.

I love yellow roses, so I knew immediately I which stamp I would use.

I created a faux bokeh background by sponging and stencilling with green inks.
The rose was coloured with Zig Markers.
Stamps: Hero Arts Antique Rose
