Birthday Fishes

Just a quick post to share a fun Masculine Birthday card.

Since the stamp design is 'sketchy', I decided to colour the fishes in the same style. Sooo easy!
Stamps: Dina Wakely Scribbly Fishes; Kaisercraft sentiment

CAS Colours & Sketches #423

It's time for a Sketch Challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches. I really love the sketch Shannon, our host, has created for us.

I was in a Mixed Media mood, so I got out my inks, sponges and stamps to make this card. I made masks by tearing paper strips and ten sponged the Distress Oxide Speckled Egg. I then stamped the diamond pattern with the same ink. When dry, I stamped some script randomly with gold ink and added some Perfect Pearls. Next I stamped the butterflies, adding the PP again and then fussy cut.
All the stamps are oldies from Kaisercraft, except the sentiment, which is from Altenew.
I sponged the based card with the ink to match.

I hope you'll check out the CC&S blog to see what the rest of the design team and our  Guest Designer have created.  We hope you'll be inspired to make your own card, which needs to be linked to  the challenge post by 6:00 p.m. Eastern time Monday.

Hello there Crafty Friends! This month at CAS Mix Up we have a Water-colour themed challenge. Viv is our host and the prompt is 'FLIGHT'. That should give you plenty of scope.  Please be sure to keep your card designs Clean and Simple.

I just love these cute PPP Hummers and I used a new floral stamp set I purchased from Amazon. I'm not sure of the designer.
All the images were stamped in black, clear embossed and coloured with Zigs. The birds were kindly gifted to me by Darnell!
The frame die is from Penny Black.

We have the lovely Joyce (Cards-by-the-Sea) as our Guest Designer this month and you can see her card  and more inspiration at our blog.

CAS Colours & Sketches #422

Hello there! It's time to welcome Shannon as our host for June at CAS Colours & Sketches. We have a really gorgeous colour combo to play with this week...

I definitely need to practise this technique.  I was happy with the subtlety of the snail:)

CAS Mix Up April '21

Hello there. It's April already and it's time for a new CAS Mix Up Challenge!

This month is a Mixed Media themed challenge. Linda is our host and the prompt is 'Paper Piecing'. There are some links to video tutorials on the CAS MIX UP blogPlease be sure to keep your card designs Clean and Simple and include one other Mixed Media element.

Inused the very popular Concord & 9th Hello Lovely stamp and various patterned papers.
I stamped the image 3 times and fussy cut each layer. I actually left out the smaller parts of the image, because it would have been impossible to fussy cut and it also made my card more CAS.
The sentiment stamp is from CASual Friday Stamps. I added some sequins for my extra element.

Tip: Cut right on the line and use a black marker to colour the edges

We have the talented Bonnie from Paper Crafter at Large as our Guest Designer this month and you can see her card  and more inspiration at our blog.

To finish I stamped the sentiment.
Stamps: Stamplorations (The Bees Knees) Pets; Sentiment is a magazine freebie.
Die: Spellbinders
Stencil: Kaisercraft
