Spotlight Technique #2

Hey there! Here's another card using the Spotlight Technique, inspired by the current Inkspirational Challenge.

I used another Stampers Anonymous stamp set. I think this is probably my fave set. from SA and I should use it more often!
Just so you know, I've used cream cardstock, which never seems to look so good in photos, but it's lovely in real life. I edged the spotlight panel with black ink for definition.
I used dimensional tape, which made it a bit difficult to line up. Next time I'd use liquid glue so I can move it around.

I'm also sharing at the following:-

Spotlight Technique

Hi there Crafty Friends. Here’s a card I made for inkspirational Challenge, where they have the Spotlight Technique as their theme.

The leaves were stamped with gold ink and embossed with Distress Embossing Glaze (Antique Linen).
The glitter shows through the glaze because it is translucent.
The spotlight section s coloured with Karin Markers.
The stamp set is from Stampers Anonymous.
The sentiment Di cut was embossed to match.

The Card Concept #207 Red, White and Blue

Welcome Crafty Friends. It's time for another challenge at The Card concept

The theme is Red, White and Blue and there's a gorgeous picture to spark your creativity. I was inspired by the colours and the red flowers to create a Clean and Layered Christmas card.

I painted an artsy background with Daniel Smith Watercolor Paint.
The Poinsettia and foliage were die-cut from a smooshed background and glitter card.
Dies: Tim Holtz
Stamp: Mama Elephant

Remember, an inspiration photo is exactly that- a starting point for inspiration. Will it be the colours, the overall theme, the texture, the actual items and/or something else that will inspire your card?

I hope you'll visit The Card Concept Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the team has created and will be inspired to play along in the challenge with us.

Choose a design style (or combine styles), create a card, and in your blog post, let us know what inspired you from the photo, what style and/or styles you chose and don't forget to display our inspiration photo and link back to our challenge.

Time Out Challenge #263 - Alphabet Magnet Day

Hello Crafty Friends! We are celebrating 'Alphabet Magnet Day' at Time Out Challenge this week.

I embossed some steel blue coloured card and then swiped white ink over the raised letters. I then embossed the white card, cutting a strip and layered it over the blue card. To finish I stamped the typewriter and then added the sentiment.

The winner of our challenge will win a $15 credit from our generous sponsor - Altenew and will also have the chance to be Guest Designer in a future challenge.

We are so happy to have Carol McFarland of Saw it. Had to Make it joining us as Guest Designer for this challenge. You can see Carol's gorgeous card and more inspiration from our  fabulous DT at the TIME OUT CHALLENGES blog.
