The Card Concept #207 Red, White and Blue

Welcome Crafty Friends. It's time for another challenge at The Card concept. 

The theme is Red, White and Blue and there's a gorgeous picture to spark your creativity. I was inspired by the colours and the red flowers to create a Clean and Layered Christmas card.

I painted an artsy background with Daniel Smith Watercolor Paint.

The Poinsettia and foliage were die-cut from a smooshed background and glitter card.

CAS COLOURS & SKETCHES #432 SKETCH CHALLENGE

   Hi there Crafty Friends! It's time for a Sketch Challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches and we have Bhavya as our host this month. She has given us a fun sketch to play with this week. 

This was my second attempt at this card. In my first card I spritzed the stamp with water, but I decided to just use Karin markers to stamp and get a clean impression of the leaves.

Colourful Vase of Blooms and a Sweet Friend

 Here's a card inspired by this month's Altenew Inspiration Challenge. I love the colours and very losely followed the sketch ( which in my mind I flipped 180 degrees). ...

 I made the background with Distress Oxides and an Altenew  stencil.

The flowers and foliage were coloured with the same inks and the vase was subtly shaded with Zig marker and Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Gloss Pen.  I then stamped the sentiment in white ink and heat embossed.

My next card is inspired by the Global Design Project Challenge. It's Case the Designer week, which is my fave. I hope you like my C.A.S.E. (Copy And Selectively Edit) card. 

I copied the yellow wash, using inks and Nuvo Shimmer Powder. I used a die cut like the original card,  but used a bee. I layered the black and white die-cuts to get more definition.  The diagonal stripes were stamped with a very old stamp.

52 Christmas Card Throwdown (April Sketch)

 It's time to begin a new month of challenges at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, with Branka as our Host.  She's designed a fun sketch to inspire us.

I decided to use some patterned paper as the background and the Christmas tree die-cut instead of the tag. 

The owl and squirrel were coloured with Zig Markers and fussy cut.

52 Christmas Card Throwdown

  Hi there! I'm back with another card for 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. This week Lucinda, our host, has given us a fun theme ... 'Tags on Cards'!

I stencilled the tree background on to watercolour card and then die-cut the tag, adding the die-cut snow slope. Next I stamped, coloured and fussy-cut the critters. I stamped the sentiment in red and layered another red tag behind to add a bit more colour. To finish, I added twine a mounted on a card with an embossed panel.

Critter Christmas

 

 The Christmas trees were stamped and then the panel was embossed.  I touched up the snow with white gel pen.  The critters were coloured with Zigs and fussy cut.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge (June Reminder)

Hi there. Here's my mid-month reminder inspiration for this month's Penny Black Saturday Challenge. 

Or theme is 'ANYTHING GOES' and the optional twist is 'SPOTS &/or STRIPES'.

I re-discovered an old Penny Black favourite -  'Petal Power'. This daisy is so beautiful! 

I used Memento Inks and a touch of Zig Markers and Nuvo Shimmer Gloss (because I can't stop adding it to everything)!
