MFT Blueprints Tag

Another quick post. I have another tag to share for the 25 Days of Christmas Tags.

To begin I die cut 2 tags with MFT's Blueprints Tag Builder 5 from patterned paper.  I found the chipboard christmas tree in my stash and decided to cover with white ink and emboss with a pearl powder. The sentiment from MFT 'Deer Friends' was stamped and clear embossed and the heart and top of tag from the same die set as tags.

Pretty Blooms

I made this card a while a go, when I was having a few crafty days on my own at our beach house. I just remembered I haven't shared it, so here it is...

I stamped the flowers and coloured with Copic Markers. The oval die is from MFT Die. I think the paper is from Lawn fawn, but not 100%. The stamps are from STAMPlorations Dee's Artsy Impressions 'Blooming Buds'.

Penguin Shaker

As I sit here making Christmas cards and tags, the sun is shining and the air is sultry! I know we've all been conditioned to think of Christmas with with snowy scenes, but of course in many parts of the world it far from true.

Having spent a few Christmases in the UK, with my Husband's family and enjoying a wintry holiday, every other year we spend Christmas at home, I wish I was in Scotland! Maybe next year, because my daughter has applied to do exchange in Glasgow, so if that happens, I'm sure we will visit her at Christmas.

So in the meantime, I'll turn on the air-conditioner and keep creating cards and tags, reminiscent of a Winter Wonderland:)

I've used a new Impression Obsession stamp called 'Penguins skating' - I'm a bit penguin obsessed at the moment, so you'll be seeing lots more in my blog!  The shaker pouch and window are from MFT.

I'm still struggling with shaker cards, but I figure if I keep practising, it will become easier. I think beads work better with these pouches, because, even though I used an anti-static powder, the sequins and snow bits still stick.

Craft Stamper Win!

Today I'm very excited, because last month I won the Craft stamper Take it, Make it Challenge, which means I get my card published in their magazine - yay!

There are other bonuses to winning this challenge, one of them being a write up in the Craft Stamper blog, which goes live today and next month I get a Guest designer spot - yay again!!

This is the winning card...

I was so excited to win with this card, because I do struggle with shaker cards, so now I'm feeling encouraged to make more!

The original post here will show you more details.

It's easy to play along in the Take it, Make it challenge as it is always Anything goes (with stamping).

Here is a card to show my thanks...

I used the L Letterpress to make this card and then coloured the flower and leaves with Zig Markers.
I used watercolour paper which is quite thick. It's hard to see the impression in this pic, but it's so pretty!
The silver is my favourite of letterpress inks.

Alcohol Ink Tag

I've been so inspired by the gorgeous tags in Loll & Friends' 12 Days of Christmas Tag Event.
This is a Mixed Media Challenge , which means  stamping, plus two mixed media elements (techniques or products). If you haven't visited her event as yet, then you really should pop over to see all their wonderful and inspiring tags.

My tag today is inspired by Loll's gorgeous alcohol Ink tag from day 9.

I used a background I made a couple of months ago and die cut the ornament with a Spellbinders die. I think the deer die is from WPlus9 - I gold embossed it again. I could have used glitter paper, but I like the look and feel of the embossing., plus it matches the sentiment. The sentiment is from Kaisercraft.

Deer Friends

I'm back again to post a card I made for the MFT Sketch and Colour Challenges. Non Christmas! Although there is a deer!

I began with a piece of watercolour card and painted with Distress Inks. Then I stamped the trees and embossed.
I added some black beads and orange star sequins and then constructed the shaker with the pouch and square panel.
I die cut about 6 of the base of the snow dome and adhered these to make the same thickness as pouch.
I then stamped the deer and sentiment and mounted these and the square panel on the black base card.
I finished by adding the bow.

Navy & Gold Trend

Hi again! Just popping in with a couple more tags.

I've noticed there's a bit of a trend around at the moment to use navy and gold, which I really love so this is what I decided to use.My inspiration was Jo Neville's tag from Day 1 of the 25days of christmas tags ,which is a dark tag with gold accents.
I used some paper from my stash of leftovers for the tag - the die is from MFT, but I made it shorter,by cutting a second time. The deer and birches are adapted from a silhouette cut file and then gold embossed.
The sentiment stamp is from Kaisercraft.

A Shaker Tag

I'm still catching up on my posts since the internet problems we had early in the week, so here is a another tag.

I dry embossed the background, sprayed it with Color Shine and then used white gel pen on the embossed dots. The christmas trees were cut with Silhouette. Next I stamped the gorgeous deer from WPlus9 and the sentiment.
The snow dome die and pouch are from MFT Dienamics and was cut from a previously die cut circle. I added a few beads and sequins, before putting it all together and backing with the red glitter paper. I hope this all makes sense:)

Glittery Christmas Tags

Lucky I've been busy making Christmas cards and tags, because I see that there  are only 39 days till Christmas!

Today I'm sharing 2 tags made with gold foil DP from Kaisercraft. They are very shiny!

The paper and stamps are from Kaisercraft. The tag dies are from Paertrey Ink and the ornament die is from Spellbinders.
These tags are so easy to make and the gold makes them look special.
