In the Meadow

Today I decided to break out Papertrey Inks' 'In the Meadow' stamp set. It really is a beautiful and versatile set. I purchased it a year after it's release - it seem I'm often late to the party. I went through a period of denying myself new Christmas stamps, but as you can see from my blog, I'm a bit obsessed with Christmas! So now I do buy new Christmas product, but I try to get sets which can be used for non- christmas projects as well.

I began by dry embossing a watercolour panel and stamping the tree with distress ink - spritzing to get a watercolour look. Next I masked the tree and stamped and white embossed the background. I brushed away some of the embossing powder in the places I wanted the snowflakes. The snowflakes were then stamped and embossed as well as embossing the edges of the tree. I sponged the background with distress Inks. To finish I added the bling and stamped horse and carriage and mounted on the red card base.

I am entering the following challenges:-
