Color Throwdown Guest Design Gig

Hi there Crafty Friends! I'm so happy to be Guest Designer in the current Color Throwdown Challenge. The colours are so gorgeous and reminded me of Christmas.

I had so much fun making this card. I used the new to me dies from Poppystamps. I usually colour die-cuts with markers, but this time I used coloured cardstock and patterned paper .
For the background I used a Daisy Embossing Folder, which I think look like snowflakes. I love the random pattern.

Dies: Poppystamps Nordic Dancing Gnome, Nordic Dimple Trees
Embossing Folder: Couture Creations Random Daisies
Hotfoil plate: Pinkfresh Studio

So now it's your turn. Head on over to the Color Throwdown Challenge to see inspriration from the DT and then join in the fun.

Hi there Crafty Friends! I'm back with another  card for Just Us Girls Challenge. This is WORD WEEK  and the prompt is 'GARDEN'.

I coloured all the stamped images with Daniel Smith Watercolors and Zig Markers.
The background was embossed with a Stampin Up EF.
The sentiment was created with a hotfoil plate.

AAA Birthday (Easel Card)

I'm so delighted to be Guest Designer at AAA Birthday Challenge and they have a fun challenge for us.

This is only my 2nd ever Easel card. I'm not sure why, because they really are very pretty.

I die-cut the wreath from the watercolour paper and then coloured with with Karin Markers.
Then I placed it back in the paper from which it was die-cut. It was then backed with Vellum paper.
Just for fun, I then turned it in to a shaker by adding some sequins and backing again with Vellum.
Next I stamped the little bird and placed at the base of the wreath.
This panel was then matted with Kraft card and adhered to the card base.
(I wont explain how I made the easel as there are lots of tutorials on Youtube and other search engines.)
I made a small panel to sit on the inside of the card, matting again with Kraft card. I then stamped the sentiment with the co-ordinating markers, blending with a wet brush on the stamp and card.
To finish, I  added some cut-offs from to match the wreath.

Die: Poppy Stamps Adriana Wreath
Stamp: Penny Black Tweet Wreath; W&W The Big, the Bold & You

I hope you'll visit the AAA Birthday Challenge see what the Design Team have created and will be inspired to join in the challenge.

Seize the Birthday - Surprise Guest #5

Hello there Crafty Friends! I'm back again with my last card as Surprise Guest at Seize the Birthday Challenge. I've had lot's of fun over the last weeks and appreciate the honour. The theme for this challenge is 'CAKES' but the themes are always optional, so you can enter any card, as long as it's a Birthday Card.

I wanted the cake to take centre stage so I kept the background white, although I coldn't resist adding texture to make it more festive! I hope I didn't go to far:)
The cake was coloured with Zig Markers and I used the sentiment from the same stamp set.
Concord & 9th Eat Cake & Celebrate
Die: Reverse Confetti Diagonal Scallops Cover Plate; Penny Black Full Bloom & Stitched Stacker

I hope you'll visit  Seize The Birthday blog for some more fabulous inspiration from the design team and then join in the challenge with us.

Seize the Birthday - Surprise Guest #4

Hello there Crafty Friends! I'm back again with my 2nd card as Surprise Guest at Seize the Birthday Challenge. The theme for this challenge is 'FAUX or REAL STITCHING' but the themes are always optional, so you can enter any card, as long as it's a Birthday Card.

I  included some real stitching in the centre of the rose. I chose the Pinpoint background, because it's like stitching without the thread:)
The dies are from various Altenew die sets. I have them all mixed together, so I'm not sure of the name of the sets.  I die-cut the flower from a smooshed background. The leaves were coloured with Karin Markers and Cosmic Shimmer Powder.
Dies: Altenew Flowers; Memory Box Pinpoint Leaf Plate
Stamp: Inspired by Stamping (sadly no longer around)

I hope you'll visit  Seize The Birthday blog for some more fabulous inspiration from the design team and then join in the challenge with us.
