This is my second card for the Scrapbook Boutique June challenge,
which would suit a little princess!
Again I have used some old paper from my stash.
I love using up my old stuff!
The tiara stamp is from Kaisercraft and the sentiment is
made with rub-ons.

Scrapbook Boutique - June challenge
I'm leaving it a little bit late, but have made 2 cards for the
Scrapbook Boutique June challenge.
This is my first card:-
This one I made for for an older princess!
I'm not sure which company this paper is from, but it's been in my stash
for a long time - very bold isn't it! I made the tiara with small piece of a spellbinders die-cut
then swiped it with versa mark and clear embossed it!

Embellish Mag Challenge/Mojo Monday 247/Moxie Fab
This is my first entry for the Embellish challenge
,
I've been meaning to do it for a while, because they are always such fun ideas.
I've used Kaisercraft (again) card, paper , chipboard and pearl!
I wasn't quite sure how to incorporate the green in to the card, so decided to use
green thread in the sticking, and then coloured the pearl green. I don't
usually use pastels, but I like how it went together here.
When I started this card I was going to use the Retro card sketch, but it didn't quite work out, so I have followed the Mojo Monday
loosely, using a rectangle instead of a square.
Gosh Mojo Monday have had a lot of challenges - coming up to the big 250!!!
I'm also entering this in the Moxie Fab 'hello' comp.

Cas-ual Fridays challenge
I haven't entered a card in The Cas-ual Friday Challenge for a while,
but this weeks challenge is pink, for National Pink day, so I thought I'd better play along.
You can join in the challenge here.

I used one of my favourite stamps, from American Art Stamps. The frame, paper, and gems are from Kaisercraft and the Eiffel Tower stamp is from Hero Arts. |
Playdate Cafe - B&W with a splash of Blue
I'm running a bit behind as usual, so here is a quick post to enter the Playdate Cafe challenge
for this week.
This card is a real case of serendipity or maybe I should call it pot-luck!! I came upon the owl stamp and thought 'mmm I haven't used that in a while" so then I looked for a tree stamp- couldn't find anything I liked, decided to use my new memory box die (love it!), then stumbled across the leafy b&W paper and VOILA!

Less is More - Paper peicing
Make it Monday #71
Just a quick post to enter a card in the make it monday challenge.
This week Betsy showed us how to make cards with a bordered sentiment
using masking to make the sentiment stand out.
I don't have many suitable Papertrey ink stamps to make this type of card,
but just quickly made this with what I had and a few random stamps to add more flowers.
The card and designer paper are from Kaisercraft.

Runway Inspired Challenge RIC#14 - Shoes!
Hi all! It's an exciting day for me today - I'm heading in to town this afternoon to attend a Tim holtz workshop!!! Yay! The funny thing is I turned up for this workshop 3 week ago - I got there and thought the hotel seemed eerily quiet - no haggle of crafters hanging around! So I looked up the details on my trusty iPhone and sure enough I had the wrong date! So every time I remind my DH that I have
the worksop on today, he says 'are you sure"! HA, ha! I hope I have it right this time!
Anyway on to my card. I have to admit I love shoes, but sadly I have never been able to wear anything with high heels - but I wish I could! Oh well, all the more money to spend on craft supplies!Check out this amazingly beautiful pair of shoes for the latest Runway Inspired challenge.

Simon Says Stamp - Summer theme
I am entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp
Challenge. The theme is summer and we have a beach house at
Queenscliff in Victoria, where I love taking a walk on the beach
with the dogs and taking photos of the lighthouse.
Another Playdate at the Cafe
I'm really loving the colour stories at the Playdate Cafe
- this week's challenge was gorgeous
I have used Kaisercraft and My Mind's Eye paper and I was very excited to use my new Memory Box dies for the birds and branch. There are so many more dies on my wish list!

And here is a picture of our cheeky little pups - they were watching me take a photo of the card
so I snapped one of them. They are always up to mischief and then fall in an exhausted heap.
I look at them curled up together and my heart melts - until I see what they have done!
I guess I should be paying them more attention rather than making cards....

Less is More - Another Flourish
I made another card for the Less is More
one layer with a flourish challenge.
I've always loved this Christmas bauble stamp from PSX.
I stamped the bauble with Chipped Sapphire distress ink and then
brushed perfect pearls 'pearl white' over the image. The sentiment
stamp is from Kaisercraft and both the sentiment and corners are
stamped with Brilliance Pearlescent Beige. The corner decoration stamp
is from a magazine freebie - it didn't have a sharp image so I don't think
I'll be using it again.

Less is More - Week 71
It's one layer week at Less Is More, with a Flourish!
The flourish stamp is from Kaisercraft. I've stamped with versamark
and embossed with a gold sparkle embossing powder. I'm not sure
where the sentiment stamp is from.

Playdate Cafe PDCC 135
I really love this colour combination chosen for this week's Playdate Cafe challenge
and all the beautiful cards that have been inspired by it!!!
I would hate to be the one to choose the winners because I love so many!
I have used a sweet pea stamp designed by ching-chou kuik, - she is an amazing artist.
I am not at all talented when it comes to colouring but I love using these stamps.
I've used a combination of copics, coloured pencils and Twinkling H2Os.
I decided too leave the rest of the card blank to get a CAS effect and make the image the focal point.

Runway Inspired #13 take 2
Here is my second take on the Runway Inspired challenge
.
I have used the computer generated template again for the b&w houndstooth and then
I used embossing folders for the coloured card and covered the card in versa mark and
embossed with pearl embossing powder, which toned the colour down, but I really love the effect of the pearl. The butterfly punch is from Stampin up and the sentiment is from Stylish Images.

Runway Inspired Challenge RIC#13
Check out this gorgeous outfit for this month's Runway Inspired challenge I really, really want that jersey!!! I'd even settle for the scarf!!! This is actually the second card I've made for this challenge, but I didn't enter the first card as it needs a bit of tweaking! |

Moxie Fab World - Postage challenge
I'm still in a "jubilee" state of mind, so I made a card for the Moxie Fab postage challenge using more of my Ruby Rock it vintage paper - I really love this paper.
I added an old stamp to the postcard and stamped a postmark with a Pink Paislee stamp. I used a die-namics mini rose die and a nestabilitie die for the flower under the button. |

Moxie Fab World - Gingham challenge
Just another quick post. I made this card for the gingham challenge
over at Moxie Fab World.
I'm also entering this in the SimonSays Stamp - anything goes challenge.

Rule Britannia! Diamond Jubilee Fever!
I found these images here on Pinterest.
I've been following the Diamond Jubilee celebrations
on the television, whilst I've been making cards
and today I even found myself humming Rule Britannia!!!
Living in Australia, I find most people my age and younger are not really into the Royal family (although I'm not a Republican either), but who couldn't admire the amazing pomp and ceremony put on by the Brits!
everybody looked liked they were having a wonderful time and what a brilliant excuse for a party.
My Mum and Dad are the same age as the Queen and I marvel at her
stamina and dedication - she really is a fantastic role model.
I made this card for the Less is More RED WHITE AND BLUE challenge and the Cas-ual Friday
challenge which is to use bling. I will also enter this in the Creative Inspirations - Inspired by CAS
and Simon Says Stamp
challenges.
I have used Ruby Rock it paper and the sentiment is from the Pink Petticoat free Jubilee pack.
I hand cut the cupcake shape and used a border punch. The cupcake is half a die cut circle and I used an embossing folder, then decorated it with glitter and the rose. I added the crown and bling to the Union Jack flag.

Playdate Cafe PDCC 134 & Winter Blues
I've been reading on many other blogs how excited people are about the beginning of the Summer break and it made me think about how amazing it that we can communicate so easily with people on the other side of the world. I know this is obvious, but sometimes it makes me think how wonderful the blog world (especially craft blogs) can be.
We have just started winter and yesterday it rained all day so some parts of our state are bracing for floods. I hope they are all ok. Today it was very, very cold (by Australian standards), so the dogs only got a short walk.
Anyway, on to crafty things, today I made a card for the Playdate Cafe Challenge
This card is made completely from Kaisercraft products -
the paper and die cut are from the Tigerlilly collection and I have punched the scalloped border
from latte card and used chino pearls on the die cut.
I sponged the edge of the paper with mustard seed, marigold and wild honey
to incorporate the yellow colour in to the card.

Moxie Fab World - Another spatter card
Here is another card for the Moxie Fab spatter challenge.
I decided to make a few teenage male cards in case my son gets invited to any parties. The graffiti stamp is from Kaisecraft. I'm not sure about the sentiment. I used distress inks and spray mist. |
A Right Royal Challenge!
This week at A Passion for Papertrey they are having their own Jubilee celebrations.
This gave me the perfect opportunity to break out my Ruby Rock it vintage paper.

So most of the paper is from Ruby Rock it, the Queen of clubs (wish it was hearts!) is from Kaisercraft and the'celebrate' sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. |

Retro Sketches #13
I have only just discovered this challenge - the sketches look really good.
Have you ever made a card that just had a life of it's own??? This is not what I had in mind when I started out - far from it, but I just went through a few of the many stamps that haven't been inked up yet and well this is the result.
The main image is Darkroom door and the ticket stamps are from Prima.
I've noticed 2 things lately - 1) I don't have a style (and I wish I did)! 2) I really love black and white with a dash of colour.

Case Study Challenge
I think this is the first time I've played along in the Case Study challenge.
I really love Aga's
style and this card is another beauty!

I have stamped the Stampin Up rose twice and cut the second one smaller, then coloured with copics and twinkling H2Os. I then stamped Kaisercraft script on the flower for a bit of interest. The music stamp is from Pink Paisley. The spatter is made with spray mist and some random orange dye. I will also enter this in the Moxie Fab World spatter technique challenge. |
