I've been having fun getting very inky today. The challenge at
Case Study Challenge
is to create something 'outside of the box', meaning outside of our comfort zone.
So today I decided to make a card using just inks and stamps (plus a stencil).
The challenge this week at the
Playdate Cafe is lots of fun - very bright, so I decided to combine these 2 challenges.
The main image is from Stamping Bella, called Jane Girl, this is designed by Jane Davenport
a mixed media artist. The sentiment stamp comes in the set.
For the background, I sponged Distress inks - mustard seed, dried marigold, wild honey and
picked raspberry. I used Hero arts Friend background stamp for the text, an unknown stamp
for the grass and an urban artist stencil. I've used liquid pearls on the punched butterflies.
I have machine stitched a border with pink cotton.
I was happy with the sponging, until I took the card outside to take a photo, when it started raining!
Big mistake when you've used distress inks! I'm sure you can see the white spots!
I'm also entering this in the
Scrapbook Boutique Challenge
which is to add a butterfly to your
creation.
