I used a die-cut Christmas tree as a mask and sprayed the panel with Heidi Swapp Color Shine (I love this colour!). When it was dry I die-cut the panel with a Lil' Inkers stitched rectangle die and then embossed it with Big-shot. The pink panel was coloured with distress ink and sprayed with white Color Shine. The sentiment and 2 of the snowflakes are made with WPLUS9 dies. I am entering this in Simon Wednesday Challenge Anything goes. ETA: I'm entering this card in the Moxie Fab World Tree-mendous Trees challenge. So now just to prove I can 'do' Traditional, here is a tag for Lol's Twelve Tags of Christmas event, which she is hosting at Stamping with Loll. I black embossed the gorgeous STAMPlorations Christmas Bells on gold glitter paper and again on red card and fussy cut them both. I coloured the red card with red glitter pen and added some holly and gold beads. The tag is made with a Penny Black die. I stamped on the tag with music background and swiped gold PanPastel over the tag. The sentiment is also from Penny Black. I'm also entering this tag in Virginia's View challenge#9 All things Metallic. |

Non Traditional Christmas!
Hello there! It's Melbourne Cup Day (famous horse race) and it's a glorious sunny day, which is why I made such a bright Christmas card! As you may have noticed, I am mostly in to non-traditional Christmas colours this year - I'm enjoying all the creativity I'm seeing around blog-land!
LOVE your tag Jenny!! Those bells stamped on gold glitter paper are so pretty!! Great idea! Will have to CASE that ... so thanks for the inspiration. And thank you so much for joining in the tag event! Also love your non-traditional coloured card ... the turquoise and pink are so pretty together. Loll xx

I love, love your tag! The sparkle and shimmer is so fabulous. Your "splats" look great and I love the sentiment. A wish we all wish would happen! Your card is fabulous as well, I happen to love non-traditional colors for Christmas cards as much as I love traditional colors! Hugs, Brenda
