New Challenge

Hi there! This is a very quick post, because I should be cooking dinner!

Have you heard about the new fun challenge CAS Mix It Up? It is the brainchild of Loll and Bonnie.
It's all about my favourite style of cardmaking - CAS (Clean and Simple) and Mixed Media. If you're confused, check out the guidelines here.

Here is my card ...

My card only just scrapes in to this months theme, because I used a stencil for the background, a watercolour wash on the feathers and a stamped sentiment. I was going to stamp some text over the stencil, but decided it would be too busy.
I wash really happy I managed to match the colours of the sponged background (distress inks) with the watercolour paints on the feathers.

ETA: I am also entering this card in A Blog Named Hero Challenge  - the theme is *RAINBOW* and the Inkspirational Challenge - the theme is *GEOMETRIC* (I hope my background fits the theme).
