Twenty One

It was my daughter's 21st birthday on Monday and I decided to make a CAS card for the occasion.

The Sentiment stamps are from Winnie & Walter and the number dies & image stamps are from MFT/Dienamics.

Botanical Card

Here is another card focusing on the sentiment...

The image and sentiment are both from a Kaisercraft Whisper Collection.
I used Zig Markers and blended with water.

Irish Blessing

I felt like making some CAS Cards with botanical images today and the theme at Less is More is OLC with focus on sentiment, so this was my first idea...

The sentiment is an oldie I had in my stash and the flower is from Penny Black 'Allegro'.
I used Zig Markers and Altenew Ink.

Jar of Roses

It's mid-month inspiration time for the CAS Watercolour Challenge and I pulled out some old stamps to make this card...

The stamps are from Stamplorations 'Eclectic Florals' and 'Frames & Flowers' sets.
I stamped lightly on Arches 300gsm rough watercolour paper and then using a bit of water I touched up the images. I love using good quality watercolour paper! The frame die is from MFT Dienamics and I mounted the frame with dimensional tape.

You still have until 24 Feb to play along, so head over to the CAS Watercolour to see more inspiration and add your card to the gallery.

More Dimesional Die-cuts

Just a quick post to share another card for the CAS  Mix Up Challenge.

I had this stencilled background in my stash and thought it would look cute for these trees.  I sponged numerous shades of distress inks through the stencil to create depth.  The dies are from MFT/Dienamics and the sentiment is from Pennny Black.
I used dimensional tape for the 2 small trees. the tree trunks are cut from kraft card and shaded with Zig Markers.

Dimensional Die-cuts

I'm back at the beach house for a few days and I've been busy trying to get a headstart on some of my DT cards and also play in some challenges. This one combines the CAS Christmas and the CAS Mix Up challenges.

I coloured the Tim Holtz/Sizzix tree with Zig Markers and Distress Inks and then embossed 4 times with Opal thick embossing powder. I stamped the snowflake, sentiment and fox, fussy cutting the fox and mounting with dimensional tape. I added a shadow to balance the scene.

I hope you can see the variation of greens in the pic.

Powdered Inks with Stencils

Do you enjoy playing with stencils? If so, I hope you heard about the new challenge in the CAS Challenge family. The CAS Stencil Challenge debuted last month and I look forward to playing along each month.

I used a new stencil from Kaisercraft and a mixture of Brushos and Color Burst to make this card.  I was aiming for a tropical look, because it's very balmy here at the moment.

The dies are from SimonSays Stamp.

Love is Kind

Hello there. Welcome back to the start of a new CAS Watercolour Challenge! This month we have a colour combo as the theme -  'Red & Pink'.

I was originally going to use flowers for this challenge, but I picked up this Kaisercraft stamp set at the sale and fell in love with the sentiment. I read this reading at my Brother's wedding and I couldn't resist this stamp set.

I must admit I find red a very difficult colour to use in watercolour paints as it's usually quite grainy, so I used a mix of Brushos and Peerless Watercolour, which are both quite translucent.

You should pop  over to the CAS Watercolour blog to see the gorgeous inspiration from the rest of our Design Team and our uber talented Guest Designer, Darnell of DJKardKreations. I hope you'll find time to play along this month and look forward to seeing your creations in our gallery.

Watercolour Poppy

Hello there! Yet another month has flown by and it's time for another Penny Black Saturday Challenge.

This month's theme is 'Anything Goes' with an optional twist 'FLOWERS'.

I love all my Penny Black floral stamps, so it was hard to choose, but I haven't used this poppy for awhile and our neighbours have planted some on the nature strip and that inspired me:)

I stamped and white embossed the image and then used Peerless Watercolours  and Zig Markers to colour the background and Poppy.

you should pop on over to the PBSC blog to see what  the rest of our team have created and I hope to see your cards in the gallery. You have the chance to win a $20 voucher from our wonderful sponsor1-2-3 Stitch and if you'd like to be considered for a Guest Designer spot on a future challenge, please add 'GDT' after your name on the link-up.
