Hello Crafty Friends! I'm so happy to be hosting the current challenge at Seize the Birthday.
I recently had to make a card for my Mother in Law who was turning 90. This made me think about my next Milestone Birthday and was shocked to realise it will be my 70th!!! I've still got a few years to go, but I thought I'd start making some cards for friends because time does fly!!!
So I have a Twofer to share with you...
I off-set the black numbers with pink for a shadow. All dies are from Spellbinders and the stamp from Altenew.
This time I combined Hot Foiling and Betterpress to make this pretty card. Again I've used Spellbinders products as well as the beautiful sentiment from LDRS Creative.
I hope you'll find time to join us. Remember, the topping is optional, so if you prefer Anything Goes, that's fine, so long as it's birthday themed.
This was a great challenge Jenny, glad you thought of it. Both of your cards are lovely and perfect for those milestone birthdays. Love those small flowers decorating the numbers.
ReplyDeleteThese are both so lovely!!! Amazing how the older we get the more 70, 80 and 90 doesn't seem that old??? (Or is that just me? LOL!) I really love the floral design on the first card. And I LOVED this topping!
ReplyDeleteLove everything about your 90th birthday card--wonderful design, gorgeous colors!
ReplyDeleteLove that big old 70! But the 90 now that one I love even more 😀
ReplyDeleteI am so glad for this challenge as I am in need of more milestone birthday cards. Why not celebrate the years that are well lived. I love both of your designs.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a great idea for a challenge, Jenny! Gosh, I sure love the Spellbinders 90th with flowers. Those milestone birthdays come and go so quickly. I passed my 70th last October. That's a beautiful card to celebrate the occasion. Your photograph shows the impression and foiling perfectly!
ReplyDeleteJenny, fun challenge. Your card with the black numbers on the white cardstock is so beautiful and then topped off with your colorful flowers, it is so striking. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love these simple, yet bold, milestone birthday designs, Jenny! Great idea for a challenge, too! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel. I only have 1 year to go until my 70th. Both your cards are wonderful. So simple and yet really very special xx
ReplyDeleteI too thought your topping was perfect, Jenny! And both of your cards are just wonderful. I am pinning them for future reference.
