Tuesday Trigger - Vintage Vogue

I spent a lot of time pondering what to do for this card - so many possibilities! It is such an elegant image, so I new I had to do something CAS. I found the trim in a fabric shop yesterday, but it had pearls in the centre, which I love, but then I had the idea to replace the pearls with gold beads. I'm happy with the outcome.

The paper is christina Re and the sentiment is Papertrey ink (I think this is my new fave)

Better late than Never!!

This is the quickest post ever! After many rejects, this is my card for the latest Playdate Cafe Challenge

This is using some very old paper from my stash and also some Kaisercraft paper, flower, ribbon  and gems.
I used nestabilities, embossing folder and  distress ink on the flower. The paper comes out really pink in the photo, but in real life is more of a purple/pink.

I learnt something about myself during this challenge - I am way too literal!  I had so much trouble choosing what to use, because I felt it didn't match the colours. I need to allow myself to use the challenge as a jumping point and then go wherever my creativity leads me!!! Maybe I shall make more cards out of the rejects.

Less is More week 65 - Sketch

I got this beautiful fabric from The Stitches and Craft Fair
last year and have been wondering what to do with it. This sketch gave me the perfect
opportunity! Click here to see other cards in the challenge.

Mojo Monday #238

I am currently working on another card for this challenge, but it's a bit like a jigsaw puzzle!Anyhow, I've had this paper in my stash for years and it's perfect for this sketch. Winnie the Pooh was my favourite Disney story when I was a child and I still love the original drawings the best. I feel a bit sad now when I look at the stories and see that Pooh and his friend kept saying he was "a bear of very little brain" - not really a good message to send to kids! Oh well, I still love it!

Missed it by that much!

I made this card for the Cas-ual Friday challenge, but just missed the deadline!
Nevermind, I can still enter it in the Less is more challenge, which is to include a charm in our card.
There are some very beautiful cards in this weeks challenge, so go and check it out here

I inked the chipboard scallop frame and then clear embossed it. Well nothing else needs to be explained - this is a very CAS card as per the CAS-Friday sketch

Moxie Fab - Tuesday Trigger

When I first say this photo, I started by stamping some watercolour butterflies, but then I saw the lacing on the dress and it took me in a completely different direction! I know the paper I used is not anything like the dress, but once I started with the lacing on the parchment paper, I decided to use some of this gorgeous Japanese paper, which I usually just look at!

The photo is not very clear, because it's been pouring all morning and there is no natural light.
So I'll have to try again later. To see other cards in the challenge, click here
